I understand that method actors can entirely engross themselves in a character and perhaps if she played a cancer patient for most of the drama it wouldn’t be as drastic, but for about two episodes, and maybe a week of shooting seems excessive and kinda ridiculous. To me, it seems like they are using this as an excuse for the weight loss that she already had. Like see, she did it for the ROLE, nothing else… really… pinky swear.

This is odd to me. I have read the webtoon and it is one of my all time favs. However, it makes me wonder about the script, because the character is portrayed as a cancer patient for about one chapter. What changes have they made that the actress would deem this as a necessity? I truly hope that nauseatingly cliche tropes and scenes aren’t added in for dramatic effect because it will ruin what could be a mega hit.

Hi! I wish I was right too! However, by ep. 16 it's been 5 years and she didn't die so unfortunately my hopes have been shattered. Someone also commented that the vision will go all the way until the end of the drama, like a divine lesson for both of them, then they will awaken or be reincarnated, similar to "Lost in Time", even though in that drama, the FL is reincarnated towards the beginning. I really hope that there is a chance for her family to live, but CDramas have no chill, they might end up jumping off a cliff or shot with a dozen arrows by the end of this and that's it. I am preparing myself for the worst.

That is an older show, but what happened is the protagonists of the show that everyone liked were tricked by an ally when they went to their relatives wedding, which included the pregnant wife of one of the characters, then the entire family was viciously killed. The title of the episode is the Red Wedding. I was livid. But I also know that CDramas don’t always have happy endings so we shall see…

Yes, I watched that too. I will be really sad if this Cdrama pulls a Red Wedding from Game of Thrones and we just have to see how the leads deal with that catastrophe.

Very good points, I would not be surprised if Karma gave her a bitch slap because what she did was foul, and the poison was the catalyst for most of the tragedies that have happened.

I also saw Destined With You and loved it, But that was a true reincarnation scenario, I do wonder how they will resolve the tragedy of her fate, will it be a question of her death or her family??? They will definitely need to find out who is behind all this and the evidence against her family.

I might be completely wrong, and I am sure other people have guessed the same thing, but I think this is a premonition. When they are by the river, before having a meal, Rong Yu says that he feels he has had many reincarnations with his gift of seeing the future. I think this whole thing is the premonition either he sees or somehow they both see when he touches her head at the astrology festival in ep. 2. I will admit, I have never seen one last this long, but I think Jiu Ling will still die, and the premonition will end when that happens. I have never seen a drama like this that has spent so much time on a family that is lovable and kind, with a pregnant woman no less, being tragically killed in the middle. At the execution the 2nd brother says that in the next life, he will love his wife passionately, wouldn’t it be a shame if he we don’t see that chance? If I am wrong, this is cray, but I think it’s a vision and Rong Yu or both of them will wake up and the rest of the show will be about fixing all of the issues that lead to her family’s death. 🤞

This show is wild and definitely unexpected. It’s refreshing to watch a show that’s different. However, I have a theory on what’s happened so far…

I admit I didn’t know if YSX could pull off a cold, ruthless, and cunning assassin, but so far she is amazing. This drama is damn good, I am incredibly intrigued by the story and the cinematography and shots, the color palette, the subtle gems are gorgeous. It’s obvious that a lot of thought was put into every aspect of this production. This might turn out to be one of the best dramas I’ve seen. But, this is only the beginning, so, only time will tell…

(Sigh) this is just boring… I am completely uninterested in arguing with a bigot.

You’re right, the U.S. does not have laws against pedophilia because it is a mental disorder. We don’t arrest people that have an illness, even though it is seriously gross and should be treated by a professional. However, it would be kinda fun to lock up the peeps that spew hate on sites like this when truly, nobody GAF, but we believe in freedom of speech and expression, so, to each their own. Also, the U.S. does have laws against child exploitation, molestation, and abuse and bestiality, you can Google it for some light reading :).

Truth. I 100% agree. There are so many things that make no sense. Why TF did Security stop this one random dude out of the 100’s of randoms there, did he need a ticket? Why TF did peeps clap when Payu entered the bar, did he pay for their drinks? Then, there is no plot, nothing really happens, and to top it all off, the acting is… not great. I will watch a few more because I don’t mind a little eye candy for breakfast, but… meh.

I completely agree. I have no sympathy for the FL. She is portrayed as manipulative and a selfish brat. I understand that she has been through hardships, but there are so many ways they could have showed this in flashbacks so that we can understand her point of view, but they didn’t. All of the fake crying and tantrums are annoying. The meet cute of the leads was also just mediocre. Then the whole case and one tear scene from the ML? I felt nothing, I just don’t buy it. Something just feels off about the tone, one minute serious and the next quirky? It’s kind of a mess. However, this is just the beginning and they have time for growth and development. But the first 4 episodes were a disappointment for me.
