The Grand Guignol (as in the theatre the film is named after) were literally all about producing absurdly campy and gorey horror skits with some sexual play thrown into the mix (some audience members would actually have sex whilst watching people be tortured on stage). Which is essentially what you get with this movie. They pay homage to some of the gore acts the theatre became famous for (i.e. skinning someone alive, melting their face with acid). The theatre shows were not about producing a cohesive plot, but purely about shocking the audience with sexual taboo and gore. Which is exactly what this film does.

People complaining about this like the whole point of the movie isn't in the title...

I know people don't like it when theres no fairytale ending up together or an open ending like this, but as a gay person its realistic and these stories also matter. I personally loved it.

I put off watching this movie for so long because everyone said it has a sad ending. But I thought it was beautiful, and wish I watched it sooner.

One thing I like about this show is they how they take Yak's trauma seriously. When we found out Dee was orphaned and bullied as a child I was half expecting them to do the whole 'whos got it worse' comparison a lot of shows do and am so glad they didn't. Dee take's Yak's trauma and feelings seriously and doesn't try and compare them with his own, he just comforts him and tries to help.

Yeah you're not going to find that in a GMMTV rom-com, so I wouldn't expect it. There are other darker shows you can watch for realism.

I liked the development of the friendships and found family, but the ending really bugged me. Naoya spends the entire show fighting to get back to his brother and then after 1 episode is fine leaving him again? What. Also the 'open ending' doesn't work if they show Tanaka reading the letter. So much potential let down at the last minutes by that 2 second scene. So frustrating.

I think they made Hatano hold the baby as a plot point so she couldn't find Naoya once she was told he had chosen to stay behind with Yuto, otherwise she would've just run after him

Someone please explain where the first scene fits in?? Because in the next scene with everyone they all look unharmed. So did that actually happen or was it just Tharn's dream?

That is literally implying that Thai actors are bad. I can think of 5 (non-GMMTV) Thai actors just off the top of my head that could play the role well... I think maybe you just need to expand the types of Thai dramas you watch.

The Japanese version only covered part of the manga as it hadn't been finished, this one is likely going to cover it all. It would be worse if they made filler parts that aren't in the manga to draw it out. Also since its a Thai adaptation so reasonably there will be less freaking out over the mlm aspect, although he realised it pretty early in the manga too.

He is supposed to be bland, he's actually more bland in the manga lol. Aoki/Atom brings emotion out of him as their relationship goes on.

Really? I can hear him clearly. He does have a deep voice, and does speak quite quickly (maybe bc hes a rapper?) but has good pronunciation so you can understand everything clearly. I haven't had a problem following him even without subs, and my Korean is not fluent by any means.

I dont remember them being physical in the novel either, but its been a few years since I read it lol.. to be honest I was more invested in Gu Xiang so maybe I missed something
