Does anyone else think that the guy in all black with the jade ring is Yuwen Yue's grandfather and that's…
I read on some Chinese sites that it was probable that the guy she fought with on the cliff, Yuwen Hao, is the uncle because it is said that Yuwen Hao is Yuwen Xi's son.
I agree, though I wonder how long it will take her to remember all her memories.

True. But the blood needles hit the lower part of the body, that's why I thought it was the grandfather. Maybe the maid he was talking about is her...
Was there anything said about YY's father? Like what happened to him? I don't quite remember there being a part talking about his father. Both his parents in fact.
is this the same character as in the Tang dynasty? Consort Dugu?
Haha. Not really, if it's a historical drama, I just like reading up on brief history of the Emperor/politics before the dramas to make more sense of the political/relationship dynamics that is supposed to be portrayed. Chinese history is interesting if there's something to relate it to afterwards.
can someone explain to me why tv version n eng sub version are different? (read from the comments below). and…
I have more trouble with long historical phrasing/grammar. I'm okay with titles and such, even though there are so many of them in the Chinese language!
is this the same character as in the Tang dynasty? Consort Dugu?
No, different I think. Consort Dugu from Glory of the Tang Dynasty was a consort under the Tang Dynasty and never became an empress during her lifetime.
This Empress Dugu is from the Sui Dynasty, the dynasty prior to the Tang Dynasty.
Since I can't find English subtitles for this anywhere, can anyone tell me if you've watched it, if…
Ah, I see. Thanks for the info! =) Then it really might not have a happy ending. Maybe they'll make a fictional ending?
I thought you were talking about more political/war stuff.

Totally understand what you mean! But Mandarin isn't my native Chinese dialect, so sometimes when they speak with tons of historical/philosophical terms, I end up a bit lost! XD
Most of us here is crazily in love with this drama...some are shipping YX to X and the others are shipping X to…
Me too! I been bubble wrapping my heart and steel caging it to keep YX out since the beginning to try and avoid 2nd lead syndrome. It's not working very well... YX why do you have to be such a nice guy!
next week episodes look so good. Now the wait begins :((
I wonder how the old shopkeeper guy from the (latest episode and newest preview) is related to Feng Yun Ling? Like why is he so adamant in finding out what she knows about Feng Yun Ling? I like him because he's a blunt and funny character, but if he turns out to be an enemy of Xing Er...
I need to understand why they keep remaking this drama ~ is it THAT good? Like what's up!?
The trilogy is a classic. There's a lot of martial arts references in different movies/novels that refer to the martial arts written in these three stories.
It is definitely a good drama to watch... probably a must-watch if you're into wuxia. Just don't really know if it's so good that it warrants so many versions to be made.
Though I do have to say, each version has it's own style, so some people may find that they like one version and not another. So maybe it's a good thing that they have so many versions? The new remakes just end up on my to-watch list and I eventually watch them when I run out of good costume dramas to watch...
Though the actress has been getting roles in more well known projects lately, so maybe someone will come back to sub it?
