Plus you never know which actor will get "cancelled" in that year.

Production companies were all loophole-ing the let use 2 seasons back to back to fit more episodes the year/year after(?) of LLTG came out, so new rule is if you do a 2nd season, it has to be aired 12 months after the 1st season airs. I don't think production companies really want to do that (other than the ones where they have multiple 2+ seasons)

I'm not sure which part this is at, but a lot of the times in Chinese, we call our parent's friends and good acquaintances 'uncle' too. Just like how Bao'er calls CY 'aunt' because she is his mom's friend.

You can change it now. I think the airing dates set made the drama as still airing so you couldn't set it to compete.

I agree. The puzzles, storyline, and set aren't as bad as people are saying they are.

I think some of the negative ratings might just be from them being annoyed that not all the cast were reprised or maybe they've been waiting so long that the old version was placed on a pedestal in their minds without even knowing.

You can watch it even if you haven't watch the others.
There are little easter eggs and back story of side characters that would be a benefit if you've watched the others, but story is fine if you haven't.

I just started rewatching too!!! I think her mother's depiction is realistic. She came back and realized that she screwed up by leaving her daughter at home and that her daughter knows nothing about being a woman/wife in this society. She tries to "fix" it, but overcompensates. She is used to a teaching style where everyone is pretty pliant and not headstrong (towards her); her husband, her sons, the soldiers she is in charge of.

Watch it only because you like the actresses and singers, not the competition, cause it's honestly just a popularity contest, like most idol competitions. Their standings don't really reflect their singing and dancing capabilities.

I like that you get to see actresses and solo singers experience and learning new things.
