What is it about Chinese writers and Directors feeling they need to do a 40 episode drama? What the actual fuck!…
I think most of the time it's not that the writers or directors want the drama that long, but they are probably pushed by the TV networks/broadcast companies and maybe even investors to make the drama longer for revenue (i.e. ads) purposes.
The first 12 episodes of this drama were so hard to get through. The obsessive, inconsiderate ML, the mean mother-in-law, the scheming sister-in-law, etc.
But after those 12 episodes, you start seeing another side of the characters and some of them develop and grow up. You fall in love with the Sun family dynamic and the relationship between the sister-in-laws.
This is quite a good short film. On the surface it seems like a movie aimed towards children, but truly, it is a reminder to adults and parents, that it is good to have order and children that listen, but not to forget that people have individuality.
If you read all the spoils, you might already know what's going on the prequel. Just remember that in the prequel,…
Probably not necessary. You probay just need to know the generals (explained by @lovehj ). Even the novel took place in modern times, with flashbacks and special chapters about the past life.
One of the variety shows that I wished had another season. It looked like they all enjoyed themselves and even the skaters seem like they were able to challenge new skills.
Ep 1: I get a that it's a plot device to get the characters to met, but who purposely sits next to someone playing a violin and then get annoyed that the violin is too loud?!? 😂😅
Honestly surprised that I'm the only one that dislikes the main protagonist. Maybe his character is supposed to be aloof and prideful, but it's not an interesting kind of aloof. It's more a dull, forgettable aloof and annoying type of pride. I'm only on ep 6 and his character is supposed to keep Commander Luo happy (cause they have guns and he needs their man power), but does his character get better in future episodes?
I mean, not an impossibility when it comes to time and era, but loses the point of a sword fight.
And also iQiyi and Youku if you have VIP subscription.
