I don’t remember a Shan Gudao in the novel. But correct me if I’m wrong. It seems like they added this character so that Fang DuoBing can call Li LianHua “master” bc LLH is his uncle’s sworn brother/shīdì. This allows them to do more bromance. This reminds me of Word of Honor drama vs. Faraway Wanderers novel. The two guys didn't share a master in the novel but they added it in the drama for more “brotherly” love. I’m not complaining. 🤭

I love Chinese bromance in general. They are very good at showing emotion through their eyes, body language, and words. It's their way to show love without physical intimacy and it still allows the audience to feel what they feel.

Wu Bin getting happy about being poor to get closer to Su Yu and hiring a fake dad is just too funny. He's very committed. I'm enjoying this drama immensely. I can't wait for more cute scenes from the guys.
