The novel is not a BL. The donghua has a bit of bromance between Wu Xin and Xiao Se, especially in season 1. Not sure if they will show much bromance in the live adaptation.

I like Deng Wei as a tsundere character like in Miss the Dragon, but he was a bit awkward playing the cute spoiled role in I Am the Years You Are the Stars drama. He's a newer actor and hasn't gotten down the many different facial expressions yet. I'm sure he will only improve, so I hope to see his improvement in Lost You Forever. It seems like he will play the tsundere character in Chong Zi and Till The End of the Moon, so not too different there. I look forward to those two dramas too.
