I don't think they're filming more danmei dramas. They do allow bromance dramas as long as it's not adapted from a bl novel.

All bc Beijing’s National Radio and Television Administration called to ban danmei dramas beginning this year. Now no network dares to air their danmei dramas. Not sure when or if we will ever get to watch these dramas. 😪

I don't think this movie will ever air. It was filmed in 2018 and was supposed to air in 2020. The funny thing is the official Weibo 电影封神三部曲官方微博 account continues to post birthday wishes to the actor/actress and season/holiday wishes. Not sure if it's a joke, but fans think it's ridiculous. They spend a lot of money and effort on this fantasy movie but won't air it for whatever reason. It's a shame.

7/7/2021 was when they wrapped up filming. It has been one year. Who knows how long we will continue to wait for this drama to air. 😢

I really enjoyed this drama as it is light-hearted, cute, and funny. Please don't watch this drama and have any expectations of a traditional historical drama or expect the king and queen to act proper. It's not serious. It's silly and over the top, and if you like that, then this drama is for you.

The donghua for this novel will air on Youku Animation on July 27th. If anyone is interested in watching that.
