Their time management had to be elite because all responsibilities needed to be finished before sitting down peacefully for that one precious episode at 7 p.m. 😏

The mother has been completely out of line from the very beginning, but in episode 9 she takes her manipulation to a whole new level. Like seriously, how much lower can she go? 😭

He’s so confident that he owns her, he hasn’t even considered the possibility that her family might back her up and completely ruin his little fantasy. 😏

Count me in. 😂 I fully support this bold new costume-reduction policy. 😅

Jin Qi: “Stop giving me bad advice.” Then, a few hours later: “I want to take a bath.” 😂 He politely pretended to reject the advice and immediately came up with an even more suspicious scheme of his own. This episode gave me such a good laugh. 😂 Jin Qi’s schemes alone were pure comedy.

That shamelessly proud smile while he explained how he faked drinking the drugged liquid absolutely cracked me up. 😂 Jin Qi really exposed his own scheme like he was expecting a trophy for Best Husband Performance.

The way he willingly makes a fool of himself just to soften her heart is hilarious. 😂 Dignity gone, husband agenda secured.

Yep, and I’m fully on their side. 🤣 If the family is that unbearable, escaping to the capital isn’t even rebellion anymore, it’s basic self-preservation.

The scene where Jin Qi’s attendant disguised himself as a woman just to dodge the marriage had me absolutely losing it. 😂 Man said, “If marriage is the problem, femininity is the solution.” The commitment to escaping that wedding was unmatched.

What was the first role where he used his own voice?

The ML’s voice is insanely seductive. That voice alone is doing half the flirting. 😭 He could probably read the terms and conditions and I’d still be listening. 🔥

I think this perfectly reflects the current stage of their relationship. After ten years, they’ve clearly fallen into a routine where being together feels more like habit than romance. That doesn’t necessarily mean the love is completely gone, but they definitely need to put some serious work into reconnecting and bringing the emotion back into their relationship.

I totally understand what you mean, especially about the emotional intensity between KBO and CJY. I just read it a little differently.

For me, the romance between Kang Bi O and Hong Jaein feels very one-sided. She seems to hold onto every small vulnerable moment from him and turn it into something romantic because she desperately wants that connection to exist. At times, it almost feels like she is surviving on little scraps of affection and building her own delulu version of their relationship around them.

And honestly, the way she managed to get closer to him also felt a little sneaky to me. She chose the exact moment when he was completely mentally and emotionally broken, when his guard was at its lowest, and used that opening to move closer to him. That timing made the whole romantic development feel even less convincing to me.

I’ve been paying quite a lot of attention to KBO and CJY’s actions, interactions and eye contact too, and what I personally see are two deeply hurt boys carrying a lot of emotional wounds, a lack of parental love, an enormous amount of pressure and ambition. They recognise that pain in each other, and eventually become a source of support and understanding for one another.

To me, they needed each other to survive that environment, emotionally and artistically. That bond is incredibly deep, but I still read it as two wounded people finding strength in each other rather than a romantic connection. Of course, that’s just my interpretation, and I completely understand why someone else might see it differently.

I agree with you that all of those things can absolutely be the foundation of a romantic connection. I just personally don’t see romantic chemistry between them.

What I see is two teenagers with the same passion and the same dream of becoming world-class pianists. They become closer because they recognise each other’s potential, realise how much they can gain from playing together, and eventually join forces to deal with the bullying and pressure around them.

Even as the story unfolds, they grow up and their paths separate, I still don’t read their bond as romantic. To me, it remains a very intense friendship built on shared passion, rivalry, vulnerability and mutual understanding.

I’m very open-minded and I have BL friends, so this isn’t coming from any discomfort with that kind of relationship. It’s simply how I interpret their dynamic. And of course, I’m not trying to force that interpretation on anyone else.

I’m a little confused about why some viewers interpret their relationship as BL. I see it much more as two artists pushing each other towards personal growth. Through that bond, they gradually confront, understand and overcome their childhood traumas.

Their rivalry also naturally creates jealousy, especially when insecurity and a lack of confidence come into play. To me, that jealousy feels connected to competition, fear of being left behind and the need for validation.

Artists are often portrayed as extremely sensitive and vulnerable people, so it makes sense that they would become deeply attached to someone who genuinely understands their weaknesses, fears and emotional struggles. That kind of closeness doesn’t automatically make a relationship romantic or BL. Sometimes it is simply an intense friendship between two people who understand each other on a level that others don’t.

I had a strong feeling that Choi Jeong Yo was faking his amnesia. In his situation, it’s probably the smartest way to uncover the full truth, stay one step ahead, and serve his revenge perfectly when the time comes.
