Okay, public service announcement for anyone still lurking in the comment section like a squirrel at a rave - ignore the negative reviews and just watch the drama. Trust your own eyeballs. I originally pressed play for the unique plot and, let's be honest, Choo Young Woo’s face (man looks like he walked out of a webtoon). But plot twist! Cho Yi Hyun stole the whole show. I came for the visuals, stayed for the acting. When she cried, I cried. When she laughed, I laughed. At one point I was like, ‘Am I emotionally synced with this woman?!’ She’s got main character energy with acting chops to match.
BUT don’t get me wrong Choo Young Woo nailed it too! I lost count of how many times I burst out laughing when he switched from the smooth Bae Gyeon U to chaotic Bong Su. The range?! Hilarious and impressive. Honestly, both leads killed it.
And let’s not sleep on the rest of the cast either. They all delivered like drama veterans on Kopiko. Every side character added flavor, heart, or comic gold. Not a weak link in sight.
Watch it, you’ll see what I mean. And then come back so we can scream about it together. You won’t regret it.
Ever since Alchemy of Souls, I’ve been waiting to see Lee Jae Wook take the lead again, and wow! He didn't disappoint! His performance completely captivated me. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen whenever he appeared. Dear Hongrang is intense, mysterious, and downright chilling at times. I just binge-watched the whole thing, and I already know I’ll be rewatching it soon. The synopsis barely scratches the surface! This story unfolds fast, unpredictably, and with so much depth. And the OST? Absolutely stunning, every track fits the mood of the drama perfectly. It elevates every scene! Highly recommend!
I went into Family by Choice with zero expectations, and now I’m emotionally compromised. The plot? Addictive. One minute I’m laughing, the next I’m crying like I’m part of the family. 10/10 emotional damage, would recommend.
jiho over protecting gyeon-u is the cutest thing ever 🤣🤣
Yes!! I was wheezing when he tried to squeeze into bed with BGU like it was the most normal thing ever. Ultimate bodyguard mode: activated 😂 PJH really said “no personal space, only protection."
Who decided emotional devastation should be scheduled for Mondays and Tuesdays only?! The real villain here is the release schedule. We deserve compensation and daily episodes.
Totally agree. IMHO episode 5 was really strong; I didn’t expect to cry!
Same here. I was in tears with Fairy Ch. That moment when she clutched her lipstick beside the trash? Completely wrecked me. And then BGU quietly showing up like her silent protector... I lost it. My eyes were so puffy.
I'm watching this drama for the first time and honestly, I’m really enjoying it! Can’t believe I kept putting it off for so long. I guess I just wasn’t in the mood for a teen/high school storyline before but now I’m hooked!
Okay I forgive SML for not standing up for FL, he better protect the ML well he’s been through a lot 😭😭…
Omg yes, same here! 😭 That scene absolutely shattered me. I was crying right along with her. The way she held the lip balm like it meant everything… ugh, my heart 💔 And then BGU showing up like a silent guardian?? I was a wreck. Woke up with puffy eyes this morning and zero regrets.
This drama? Absolutely my cup of chaos and I love it. I told myself I’d just watch two episodes. Fast forward: it’s 3AM, I’ve binged all five, and I’m emotionally invested like it’s my full-time job. I swore off watching airing dramas to avoid the torture of waiting... yet here I am, counting the minutes until episode six drops. No regrets.
I'm currently rewatching this drama and it's amazing how it still makes me laugh, cry, and feel all the emotions just like the first time. While it could’ve been a bit shorter, I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
