I deliberately tried to stay away from this drama until all the episodes were released because I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. Kim Yoo Jung has always struck me as an actress who values quality over quantity. Her choice of projects, the depth she brings to her characters, and the consistency of her performances rarely disappoint.

Well, today my self-discipline officially collapsed. I gave in, binged every available episode, and now I'm facing the very situation I was trying to avoid: the agony of waiting for the rest of the story.

I have to disagree with you on the yacht part. 😅 Being involved in yacht racing doesn't automatically mean you own a yacht or come from serious money. You can have access to that world simply through wealthy friends, connections or invitations. Being surrounded by luxury and actually being able to afford it are two very different things.

Gyu Rim’s father is the definition of narrow-minded, selfish and emotionally ignorant. The man has strong opinions about everything except his own terrible behaviour. 🙄 I genuinely feel sorry for Gyu Rim. Having a father like him must be exhausting, especially when the person who should be supporting you is the one making your life harder.

Wow, the way she ran off must have been heartbreaking for him. 💔 Regardless of her intentions, her reaction probably hurt more than she realises. I honestly think she shouldn't approach him about this until she's had time to process her feelings and is ready to address the situation with the sensitivity and maturity he deserves. The last thing he needs is to feel rejected for something that is simply part of who he is.

She remembers that kiss perfectly well. Ep 3 already dropped a subtle hint that she's fully aware of what happened. She's simply choosing not to acknowledge it, which is very different from actually forgetting it.

I agree that she was probably just overwhelmed and caught off guard, but we shouldn't overlook how painful her reaction must have been for him. Regardless of her intentions, seeing her suddenly run away the moment she noticed his prosthetic leg must have hurt, especially when it took courage for him to be vulnerable in front of her. 💔

I'm already on ep 6, and I honestly didn't expect to get hooked! I started watching out of curiosity, and now I can't seem to stop binge-watching.

I started this kdrama with absolutely zero expectations, mostly because I wanted to try something that’s normally not my cup of tea. Now I’m about to start episode 4, wondering when exactly this drama managed to sneak past my defences and get me genuinely invested in the plot. 😂

Exactly! So far, the red flags have been piling up. His mother asked GY to buy designer bags for 25 aunties as thank-you gifts for attending the wedding... I mean, even gangster CEOs in dramas usually fake a wedding to make money, not bankrupt the bride before she reaches the altar. 😂

He demanded that expensive watch after getting his teeth knocked out, and Kang Seong Uk even complained that his friends received expensive properties from their partners before marriage. Then GY actually handed over the money she got from her stepfather, and at that point I was like, girl... are we running low on brain cells today? 😭

Cho Heung Sik meeting him on a yacht doesn’t automatically mean the family is loaded. At this point, I’m wondering whether they’re genuinely wealthy or just professional money suckers with a luxury aesthetic. 👀 And shouldn’t it be the other way around? You’d think the ego of a genuinely rich man would be bruised by having his future wife bankroll most of the lifestyle.

That part is still unfolding. I definitely have my suspicions, though. I’m not completely convinced they’re as wealthy as GY originally thought. There’s a lot of showing off and obsession with expensive gifts, but that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s real money behind it. I’m waiting to see if the drama proves my theory right.

So far, she seems to be the one providing for them, blindly hoping that all this generosity will somehow pay off for her in the future.

I agree about the professor, but I have a feeling the friend actually did say those things. The way she’s avoiding her now feels really suspicious. Im Yu Jin made porridge for her, knocked on her door, tried calling, and still couldn’t reach her. That’s a pretty big red flag to me. 😬

The first drama that made me cry in both the very first episode and the last one. The story unfolded at just the right pace, so despite the number of episodes, it never felt dragged out or unnecessarily long.

The cast delivered excellent performances, and I genuinely became attached to both the characters and their journey. Even this comment section made the experience more enjoyable. Everyone was so invested in the story and, surprisingly, managed to stay polite without turning every disagreement into a battlefield.

I’m leaving this drama completely satisfied. It made me laugh, cry, and kept me emotionally invested until the very end. Definitely one I’d happily recommend.

In my opinion, both of them are a complete piece of work. They’re the perfect example of a couple who should never have brought children into the middle of their mess, because neither of them seems emotionally capable of actually raising them with stability, responsibility, or care. The kids are basically left paying the price for two adults who were never ready to be parents.

The father is a complete failure who can’t even support himself financially, while the mother, after being abandoned and betrayed, became selfish to the extreme.

It was honestly difficult to finish. I practically forced myself through the last three episodes. Now I realise that what kept me invested was mainly Xu Kai’s performance and his part of the storyline. The moment his screen time became limited, my interest dropped almost immediately. Unfortunately, the rest of the plot just wasn’t strong enough to keep me engaged without him.

Gyu Young married into a seriously dysfunctional and abusive family. Her husband grew up watching his father regularly beat his mother and cheat on her, so both violence and infidelity were completely normalised in that household. It doesn’t excuse his behaviour at all, but it explains why he follows his father’s example so easily and treats Gyu Young the same way. He genuinely seems to think that hitting and betraying a woman is just normal married life.

A mother suddenly feeling guilty about abandoning her children 17 years ago, only because her non-biological daughter is now throwing a tantrum... wow. I genuinely have no sympathy left for this woman.
