I don’t understand it either. My friend won’t watch Ancient Love Poetry because of the FL- “shes not pretty” ( her words ) and I’m like, so? She’s a good actress and she’s actually super charming with an adorable smile. Watch for the story not people’s looks. I agree, it’s infuriating . The first time I saw Zhao Lusi in a drama (Oh! My Emperor) I thought she was so annoying and I never want to watch another drama with her again but then I started The Long Ballad (I didn’t know she was in it), totally changed my perception of her and now I happy to watch anything with her. Give people a chance don’t just judge on a single drama or role.
LTG IS such a brat (the date scene in particular), but he does have some decent moments when he’s acting sane. Enjoyed the squad messing with his mind tho 😅 the actor himself has a very cute smile and that’s all the nice things I’m gonna say about him lol Proud of our Princess she showed all those An losers what’s up. Looking forward to tmrs eps they look 🔥
Today’s episodes were so good. I cried so much in the second episode, I’m glad they didn’t leave us with a cliffhanger 😅 Looking forward to tomorrows after watching the previews 🫣I’m gonna say it again too: LYN looked so beautiful lying on the bed at the end of the episode 😍

As always beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Tho sometimes I wonder if c netz are blind and deaf, some of their complaints…I like LYN since I first saw him on Our Song, he’s cute and seems to have a good personality. I think he looks really good in costume with hair half up, not bun. As for acting, that will come with time. (I don’t think he’s bad at acting anyways)
Just finished watching, altogether I really enjoyed this drama. I think Xu Kai did a wonderful job and IMO it’s his best drama to date (I’m a fan of his). For me, the first 31 episodes were very strong and it dropped off a bit for me in the last 9 but it was still a satisfying drama with great action and humour and storyline. I liked how all the storylines were wrapped up by the end and it wasn’t rushed. The OST was very good too 😌
The comedy in this is top tier so far. Completely unhinged, kind Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain vibes. The leaf blowing in particular 🤭 I think this is the first character of Fang Yilun I’ve seen him play where the character is unrestrained-he should look for more of these roles because he’s really excelling in this one. And people thinking LYN isn’t handsome? You must be blind! I’m loving all his yin yang outfits in this 🤩 LSS is really beautiful, great screen presence. It’s really nice for me to discover these veteran actors as I’ve only been watching C drama for 3 years and really no dramas older than 2016.
