This was really good, I cried in the last episodes. Both of Zhou Yiran drama this year (this one and "Reborn") were top notch, hope it continues like that. I much prefer him in this kind of heavy drama compared to the light hearted ones he did the previous years.
Paying for Disney+ is stupid anyway when you can find all the drama for free online.Paying customer are treated…
You dont need to use streaming. You can download and play the file in your own media player. The quality is lossless compared to the source. And the subtiles are the same. As for ads, there is uBlock which works flawlessly.
I'm really done with Disney, how is it possible not to understand that kdramas are a global phenomenon? Why do…

Paying customer are treated worst than people who pirate shows nowadays. Full DRM, geoblocking, removing the ability to force video quality to reduce cost on server bandwidth, etc.
To me, this was much better than hidden love. I did not enjoy hidden love, but loved the first frost. I guess it is because I prefer darker stories. Also, I prefer BJT as the main lead.
Wow, this was the best C-drama I’ve seen in a long time. My only frustration was that after episode 13, you expect the relationship between the leads to take off, but it stalls until the very end of the drama. We don’t see much of them actually being together. It makes sense narratively, but it’s still frustrating. I wanted to see them run away together!
Also, as a European, where which university you attend is generally not that important, I’m always surprised by how significant it is in China. Getting into her dream university is literally her first wish, even before the health of her family.
Pls if one can answer - Do we have to watch S1 to understand S2 ?
Yes, watching S1 is mandatory before S2. S2 basically start directly after the end of S1. It has been artificially divided into two seasons but its actually one story and could have been one single big season.
9.5/10. Just finished both seasons and this drama is a masterpiece. The production value, the story, the pacing, the actors, everything was on point. The casting was spot on too, all the characters were super interesting and the acting was great.
The only thing I did not like was the long flashbacks in season 2 (I am just not a fan of flashbacks in dramas or movies in general), but I guess they were necessary to explain why the village is like that. Any suggestions for similar shows?

Will have a look at the other two.
Thanks
