And let me add that the problem is the attitude, even about BLs like Untamed ( they are not bromance since you can feel their love).
The problem is the promotion, not the production or airing. no one should mind others' business in private lives ( unless they are against the law or destroy public security).
BL community in China is strong at a limit and they don't oppose it, but it's not like a label. no one is interested in knowing it.

I condamn the harassment over actors, but i support their complaints since the drama is mostly for Chinese audiences no matter what. Fans supporting them watch it in Chinese, they are Chinese actors and the series was filmed in China entirely, so they have the right to complain but NOT harassing the actors. Intl fans doesn't count, not only for BL, let me say it as a Cdrama only watcher.

they will follow Chinese original novel and drama. For sure FL will fall for 8th prince first, because the original plot is like this ( i bet they will adapt FL struggles too). But in the original ML has an harem and a wife already, and don't marry a blood siblings. Don't consider the remake at all

Chinese original has quite the same ending, but with more hope in it and with a season 2. Moon Lovers won't have it since they have no money and it was unsuccessful because tons of reasons.
I always suggest to watch both until the end, to compare, but coming from the original novel, korean remake can't stand any chance.

Personally i don't mind prohibition if BLs are produced this way. They don't cut the homosexual relationship, and i agree with you 100%, to read through the things not told in a direct way. It would be different if they change the lgbt content in an hetero plot, but they never do it.
And exactly, in Guardian there is exactly a very intimate romantic love, i could read in every other Chinese BLs like this.

In every Chinese BL adaptation i still see romantic love, a strong feeling of romantic love, so i refuse to call them""bromance"" since i can't see any friendship between them, but only true love. Guardian is not an exception, being my favorite Priest novel.
Shen Wei is my favorite character, despite me loving Zhao Yunlan too. Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu were perfect for the role, and rewatching it i can see even more they read the novel.
I can perfectly see Shen Wei longing for Yunlan through his eyes and actions, and some sentences. In the last part of the novel, i can perfect see the longing from both of them ( Yunlan's cry and look makes me heartbroken each time).
A perfect example of love through time, spaces and different lives, believing in reincarnation and destined love.

My 21st time rewatching it and i still love it. This is a TRUE MASTERPIECE.
Everything is perfect. A bit downplayed compared to season 1, since the script is new and created for the drama, but still addictive. Really liked the dynamics... i didn't like second lead though, but the actor is great. FL cries because she's overwhelmed by feelings, and i really like how can be both strong and fragile.
I become a bowl of crying everytime, but i won't ever be tired. The feelings the leads are married in real life makes everything stronger
