(im assuming this is because of the starlight boys thing??) but yeah i had to try to forget how mad seunggi makes…
That incident def made me angry but what I was referring to in my comment was his marriage. If you look it up online there should be a lot of articles to explain it.
Ugh im so obsessed with the cinemetography in this show. Its possibly some of the best I've ever seen in a modern cdrama. The lighting, color grading, and camera angles they use just enhance each scene so much! Not to mention the repeated use of symbolism and hidden meanings for things like the flowers and sachet bag.
Honestly the whole cast and crew really outdid themselves with the whole drama. For anyone that gave up after only a couple of episodes, I implore you to just keep on watching because the build up later on is just so good!
Hoping to see him in more projects soon. He's got the perfect look and has really decent acting, so I hope he gets offered a main role in the future. I think he'd be perfect for it once he has a few more works under his belt for experience. Does anyone know what agency he's currently signed with?
The real scandal was him getting married to Lee Da In whos family scammed over 300,000+ people, some of whom ultimately made drastic choices and ended their lives. His FIL ruined these people's lives and got off with only having to serve a minimal sentence and the family still lives in luxury with the money they stole. You can argue that you can't blame a child for their parents' sins but Lee Da In still lives off that blood money as we speak. Lee Seung Gi married into that family despite the whole incident being very public and high profile, and he has even publicly sided with his In-laws, calling them innocent. Their entire extravagant wedding was also most likely funded by that blood money.
It's very warranted for anyone to side-eye this man after knowing this fact. I for sure know I wont be watching anything hes in anymore, and thats coming from someone that was actually his fan before.
Im watching this for the first time and really enjoying the production so far. I'm not usually a fan of the zombie or sageuk genre but somehow this show is fine.
Ju Ji Hoon is really charismatic in his role as the crown prince and I'm already finding myself rooting for him. I haven't seen him in anything since Goong and I gotta say his acting has really improved, not that Goong is necessarily a high bar but still!
My one gripe so far is with the queens acting. This is the first time I'm seeing Kim Hye Jun but something about the way she vocalizes her lines just sounds so stiff and awkward. It doesn't sound like shes very used to speaking in a sageuk accent which is a shame considering how charismatic and fluent the other leads sound. Her character seems important so itd be a shame if her acting was like this the whole show. Can anyone chime in and let me know if she gets any better?
Just finished this drama but I really enjoyed it overall. Kim Hyesoo has such a charismatic charm that I couldn't stop myself from being immersed whenever she was on screen. I know people are complaining about her being too robotic but I'm not getting it.
I personally wasn't a huge fan of kim muyeols acting or character tho. I know his character was meant to act as a foil to kim hyesoos but something about him was just off to me.
I'm still on episode 7, but I'm shocked that so many people seem to dislike season 2 that much! I def see where the comments are coming from about the lack of grittiness this season compared to season 1 because I do feel that way too, but I think the increase in comedic moments has made the show really fun. I've found myself outright cackling at certain scenes this season.
One thing I will say was a letdown though was the villain? Maybe its because they decided to make this season less dark, but I don't really find myself as convinced by the villain and thought that their identity was very predictable. It could also just be the actor too idk. I honestly find myself tuning out during their scenes tbh.
Naeon, hyungyu, and haeun once again being the biggest green flags there. I really felt for naeon when she started…
And justice for queen haeun!!! Gyumin...GYUMIN. GYUMIN. GYUMIN. How much audacity can a man have? This man just has so much its astonishing. Even though hes been incredibly cold to haeun since her introduction, this man gets upset when someone new threatens to steal her away??? Does he think that she deserves to cry and be sad for eternity??? I dont understand this mans logic fr. When he tried to gaslight her about her getting all snug with hyungyu I wanted to throw my laptop out of the window. Like who are you to be saying all of this? Stop giving her hope and just reject her straight up so she can finally heal and move on...
Naeon, hyungyu, and haeun once again being the biggest green flags there. I really felt for naeon when she started to sob after reflecting back on her and hyungyus relationship. She talked a lot about how much she was able to grow as a person because of him and how thankful she is. I think it says a lot about her as a person. I honestly wanted to start crying with her. And I love how they're able to openly admit that they liked each other a lot in front of other people. I think it says a lot about their relationship and you can really see that things ended healthily.
Now I know that this is a dating program and everyone has the right to go on dates, but I really did side eye jiyeon when she started to aggressively target hyungyu... I feel like she sees that things with heedo are pretty hopeless because he still has unresolved feelings with nayeon. And taeyi just doesn't care about her at all because he's happy with naeon. No one is really interested in her so shes just trying not to end up alone. Although I gotta say I feel like hyungyu is probably the worst person to choose, just because jiyeon is pretty much the exact opposite of his type. Hes stated that he prefers older and calm people which jiyeon....is not which I think he can tell. When she was trying to invite him over to her place, he was trying hardddd to find a reason not to end up alone and only accepted when there was no other excuse left. I don't take much stock in him accepting her date invite in the preview because he's been pretty straightforward about who he likes since day 1. I don't see him switching focus after 1 date, especially not with someone like jiyeon. I didn't really mind her up until these last couple of episodes. However, I thought it was pretty snakey of her to be talking about taeyi and naeons relationship behind their backs....
I didn't like the way Gyumin told Haeun about her behavior and that she shouldn't have done that. I mean, we could…
THISSSSSS. I don't understand why he thinks he even has the right to tell her that???? The whole reason why he was being so cold to her in the first place was because he didn't want to give her any hope right???? So WHY is he suddenly acting like he "cares" and gaslighting her like that???? From what I can see everybody in the house pretty much loves haeun and knows that she spent most of the show crying over him. And many of them have expressed that they want her to be happy so I dont understand why they would suddenly start to judge her just for being being super close with hyungyu when she was drunk?? This man has so much audacity it astonishes me.
I really wish they introduced hyungyu earlier. I feel like a week is such little time to get to know someone, let alone fall in love with them... With how things stand right now I'm unsure what haeuns feelings will be by the finale. It does seem like shes slowly being swayed though so I do have some hope. And honestly this is just me being petty, but even if haeun and hyungyu don't end up together (which I selfishly wish would happen) I just hope she doesn't go back to gyumin. I really don't know what went on in their relationship, but he really just doesn't deserve her after all of this.....
Agree. actually there are lot of factors involves. She is quite popular and no 1 in 95 liner but not compare with…
ahh ok gotcha thats really good to know! Thank you for the insight! She's got really good momentum right now so I hope shes able to keep this up. Though to be honest I have complete faith. Everything Lusi appears in is pretty much gold to me 😂. The romance of Tiger and Rose and Love like the Galaxy are in my top favorite dramas of all time so I can't wait to see which one of her upcoming dramas inevitably gets added to my list too^^
I'm just curious, but does anyone know what Lusi's popularity is like in China right now in comparison to the top traffic stars there? I feel like shes had several really well-recieved/high profile dramas already and is quite known for her good acting at this point, but I feel like this hasn't quite translated into the level of popularity that I would expect for someone of her talents?
