But since you said about the art style I checked out some images. I'm surprised to see that the ML (I assume Ak Hee) wears dangling earrings but I didn't see the drama's Ak Hee wears them.

I already suspected most arcs were shot in China since the actress who played Kate is an American and worked in Shanghai. But one photo during film wrap showed a campaign banner of an Austrian politician on the background . So it seem they did some shots in Austria.
