Cho Na

Tales of the Nine Tail 1938 has Korean mountain spirits, Japanese yokai, and zombies, that's why it's considered horror. But it's a horror comedy IMO. If you like psych horror, A Bloody Lucky Day is a good pick. No ghosts but the drama creeped me out when watching it every week very early in the morning (I think it came out at midnight or 1am at my place).

I also watched The Killing Vote while it was airing once a week, lol. Liking the uniqueness. Vigilante has the same vibe (fighting social injustice) tho simpler.

It's been a long time since editorial articles were published in regular basis. 😉😉😉

Omg I love The Matchmakers, too! I rated it 9.5/10. I love the interviews in the beginning of each episode that I actually compiled a list of them, lol! Here:

Probably just this one, cos I myself need drama recommendation if I don't have anything else to watch, lol. I still have some rec to watch from my 2022 top dramas article. It turns to be helpful.

Revenant is actually the second after Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 in top horror drama. I watched TOTNT38 and I only remembered the funny scenes, lol.

I think some dramas don't have subs or good subs (AI translated) cos the platforms don't bother to sub them (not profitable). Some clearly show low budget (ex. bad costume) or low production (ex. bad editing). Viewers think some plots are cheesy/low quality.

Re: your plan... you can do it!!! I finally cleared up all dramas and movies from my PTW lists made in 2020, lol!

Yeah, usually short-length series don't get high ratings. Although they're included with the full length dramas, but you must use 'Short Length Series' tag to find the top ones.

Zhao Yi Qin's short drama Butterflied Lover is considered one of the top short-length series in 2023 on MDL (rating 8.2/10, higher than Provoke). I also enjoy his currently airing short drama Hidden Marriage.

I also want to dare myself to drop a drama! Let's do it together, lol! Probably think about it after 1/4 and 1/2 of an ongoing drama if we should drop it or not.

Since I don't agree Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 is the top horror drama, Revenant is actually #2 in the genre. I don't watch it, or I would've probably written a recommendation note about it.

Agree. Usually for a modern Cdrama 24 episodes is enough, reaching 40 episodes usually with fillers. But for historical 40 is about right, cos the sources (novels) usually have complicated stories. But when I saw historical dramas have 2 parts, suddenly I lost interest, lol.

Their visual is also amazing during the Joseon arc. I hope they'll be in a sageuk drama together in the future. Not with the usual nobleman ML/low-status FL, tho. That trope is so boring.

Last year I finished my old PTW list that I made since 2020 so I watched a lot of older dramas, too. Now that I cleared it up, I don't think I will watch that many dramas anymore. You can easily beat me this year! 😉😉😉

Bruh, that family is like families in telenovelas...

But if the killer is caught, he would say she jumped off the cliff and dead. Probably when the parents gave the pic back to the grandfather that's why he/SH group has it, to connect the mysteries between Joseon and modern times. Although doesn't make sense cos her parents should've kept the painting. But then it would be lost in modern times or Midam Lee should have it if she has the diary.

I posted above.

According to TrueId, Prae is a modern-day country's top internet seller with signature golden hair. One day, she is transported back in time during the reign of King Rama V or 1889. She becomes a slave in the house of Luang Kam, a great nobleman of that era who is famous for his cruelty towards slaves. Kla is also a slave there who saved her from their master's cruelty. Luckily, Prae brings her mobile phone, which miraculously has a wifi connection. Prae therefore uses her mobile phone to search for various information to survive and hopefully can go back to the modern time.

I hope they fixed the sub! I watched it when it was currently airing.

Re: #5 Thanks for the rec. I always have difficulties watching Jdramas because finding subs is so hard. The only J subbers I watch in a heartbeat are irozuku and blitz. The other fansubbers you gotta sign up, use torrent, etc etc. Too complicated for me, lol.

Low key I wished Yun Woo showed up again in the swimming pool wearing the mourning clothes like the first time she met the modern Tae Ha... cos I wonder from where she got that pretty hanbok 🤔🤔🤔... not that I complained... I love HEs!!!
