I pinged them with nasty messages about it. They are just hoping we get desperate and tune in to watch Yang Chaoyue…
Oh, so Love You Seven Times will replace this one? Since Ever Night, I watched her in some dramas since I like her costars, I tried liking her but she has disappointed me so far. I wonder if she has connections cos she has acted in promising dramas with good actors, despite of her lack of acting skills 🤦🤦🤦
But those 2 vampires friends, they had a century to do something smart and have money... With all the past knowledges...…
Ikr... I don't understand why this drama makes long-lived characters such losers: even Rose, the female vampire, is only a delivery courier. I mean in other Kdramas these types of characters are successful: the professor from My Love from the Star is a rich investor, the oldest Counter in The Uncanny Counter owns a big business to support the Counters, and the side-kick in Kokdu is also a rich businessman.
Pil Kwang's facial expression at the end of Ep 4 is a mix of confusion, fear, surprise, happiness, and adoration. Good acting from Kang Ki Young giving such a cliffhanger ending!!!
In AvenueX latest video on 5 August 2023 that addressed this drama, someone suggested what the cancellation reason might be. I quoted below credited to @keekeepod from YouTube:
"This might not be a censor issue but a trademark problem. Famous religious sects in China have become diligent in enforcing trademark rights concerning dramas. ("Blood of Youth" made such changes.) Even if the drama did receive permission to use Wu Dang Sect, the sect might have taken exception to the context and content after seeing the product. It's also probably not a good idea for a contemporary fantasy drama to use a real existing sect, that already has too much fiction/fantasy attached to it, making the drama less pure fantasy."
That's quite bold for the drama to do that, cos the issue is very sensitive. Also, usually in mystery drama the…
Oh, him? I sus he is her stalker since the beginning, so yeah he could be the one. I thought that the old man wants to revenge Yi Fan and Shan Shan cos they ruined his business at the beginning of Ep 9.
Wow ep 9 was humorous but ep 10 turned dark. I was not expecting the turn of events 😫 guess next week’s episode…
That's quite bold for the drama to do that, cos the issue is very sensitive. Also, usually in mystery drama the characters just solve mysteries as outsiders of the cases. My guess is the old geezer in the beginning of Ep 9 is the mastermind.
What does it mean to do what you usually do under the cherry blossoms in spring?? 🤪 does it have some special…
Yeah, I was a bit confused with that but I thought it was a Chinese phrase, and by watching the scene I kinda guessed what it means. But since you asked, I did a bit of research on that.
It's actually a famous line by a Chilean Nobel-prize winner Pablo Neruda from a love poem titled "Every day You Play". The traditional Mandarin script in the raw version is: 我要在你身上做 春天在櫻桃樹上做的事 It actually translates as “I want to do with you [like] what spring does with the cherry trees” (English translation of the famous line in native Spanish “Quiero hacer contigo lo que la primavera hace con los cerezos”). The Viki translation "I want to do things that are usually done under the cherry blossoms in spring" is not right as Heng Wei actually quotes the poem line. Before that scene, he mentions Jing Cen's to-do list for reciting a love poem to him.
So in a natural way, during winter cherry trees are dormant and when spring comes, its breeze and warm weather awaken the trees to blossom. Since it's a love poem, it can be interpreted either romantically or sensually as your second guess: "wanting to do you-know-what" 😉😉😉
I was hoping her awesome slaps in ep 24, might’ve knocked some awareness into him and brought back memories…
Did Heng Wei and Jing Cen sleep together? If yes then their bed scene is censored cos it seemed I missed it. Actually, I don't get it if Jing Fan is pregnant. That girl seems very well-informed, she should know about morning-after pill... duh!
