So the K version is not about self-confidence and character growth than her looks but the other way around?
oh now I know what you meant... yeah you won't see the opinion on "having to have the straight hair in the workplace to be taken as pretty" in the J version's workplace. Her coworkers took her in, first as I mentioned in the article as they appreciate her great proofreading and then her knowledge and skills in other work subjects improve. Nobody ever mention her bad hair, not even the ML, he's more into that she's unprofessional for his department.
Romantic scenes wise? You won't be disappointed in this drama ;D
Regarding your first comment, I read in the comment section that in Japanese agency's (Johnny's) contracts that idols can't have intimate scenes. That's why probably you don't see much in romantic J-dramas.
In my opinion, the second male lead (Akaso Eiji) had more chemistry with SAto Ai. The actor has great charisma.
I have seen that a lot in dramas where SMLs are set up to be friends to FLs first, their chemistry usually seems better because they have to act comfortable with each other. In this case I usually need to make my mind to ship the OTP no matter what happens lol.
One of the best articles on drama remakes I have ever read. Nicely categorized with in depth character-situation…
I actually had the K version in my PTW list before. I don't mind watching Hwang Jung Eum's OTT-ness though many people can't hold up with that. But when some people commented in the drama page that in the J version FL is more natural than the original I watched this first. After finished it I deleted the K version from my PTW list mainly because I don't bother watching an older version (2015) if the story is the same. I mean I already satisfied with this version and move on ;D
