I'm the weird one I think, I watched The Castle in the Sky 2 but not its prequel, solely because it's a 2020 drama as per my goal. Congrats for your first article! Thank you for recommending and best wishes for advocating Taiwanese dramas. My disappointment regarding Taiwanese dramas are not genres or plots but subtitling. There are new 2020-2021 Taiwanese dramas/movies I want to watch but there are no sub available. Believe me, MDLers may rate a drama/movie low if there is no subtitling. It sounds unfair but that's the fact. If I'm not mistaken, the classic Taiwanese dramas were subbed by fansubbers, right? Not officially subbed by the channels. This is where the problem lies. Despite as a commenter stated below that Taiwan once rules the Asian drama world, but the fact that South Korea understands the power of international influence, thus subbed their dramas thru official channels, that makes Korean entertainment industry is well-received and Korean artists are well-loved not only in Asia but around the world. Now China trails behind Korea with official subtitling, since they come to understanding this international influence. Now my question: if you are fluent in Mandarin, knowledgeable in Chinese characters, with passion to translate dramas to us poor souls, what will you choose to translate: Taiwanese drama or Chinese drama? The latter one of course, because of its popularity.

He is one of A Sun's man. The guy who is with him in Episode 1 and so on during their spying in Tang. His name is not in the cast list. That's why OP calls him Dopey ;D

I know that Hao Du will save Le Yan, but also in an indirect way he saves A Sun and Chang Ge's romance, too (and us the viewers). They ought to thank him, cos this 'marrying cousin' thing is awkwaaard, lol.
