I think because this drama is only 8 episodes so they made Deuk Pal accepts his fate and adjusts his life quite fast.
I just hope that in the end, if Deuk Pal is dead and Yi Heon gets his body back, there will be a scene where Deuk Pal is reincarnated. Not that I believe such thing, but the Koreans believe good people get a chance for reincarnation, and reincarnation in the end of a drama always give us a relief that it's a happy ending...

Now that you mentioned it, it would be a bittersweet ending... 😭😭😭 Cos, usually with the body swap theory, Deuk Pal would have been dead if they switched back. I think he wants to do the last or the only good deed in his borrowed life by fixing Yi Heon's life and others (Se Kyung, Yi Heon's mom, etc). Like what he told Se Kyung: "If you don't do anything, bad guys become more powerful, and the world becomes a worse place." But for Yi Heon, if he's back, it sucks if he doesn't have any trace of Deuk Pal's character (being confident, fearless, etc), cos Yi Heon still has the victim mentality, no matter how well Deuk Pal fixes Yi Heon's life.
Finally that I caught up with remembering the characters from S1 who showed up in S2 (thanks to all the comments here reminding us who is who), plus getting to know the new characters in S2... then bamm... the show is over!!! By the time S3 is out I will forget about them again... 😂😂😂
