It makes sense because it's what is called a Chinese micro/mini drama. Minis/micros don't need censorship reviews to release, tho last years NRTA taken down thousands of them deemed having pornographic, vulgar, or violence contents. Usually, micro/mini are on Douyin or Kuaishou apps, but they won't put up BL contents. This will be on an exclusive platform overseas (registered outside mainland China) tho the drama is a Chinese production.
