I watch 1st man bc I like the FL. But I m having second thots abt her role in this drama. I really liked her in Suji & Yuri. She has got great chemistry with all her MLs.
Yes, BH is an experienced actor. His acting range in this drama is quite incredible. Unlike the novice actor who played JH. Park Sung Hoon (The Glory, Queen of Tears..) wld hve nailed the role.
I m also watching Recipe for Love - the title is kinda generic & I skipped most of the 1st 2 episodes. BUT I think this is a keeper. Very layered plotlines & all the characters are highlighted - allowing them to drive the narration.

What do we expect frm Dumb Mi? There’s no depth in her character. In this revenge drama, I hve never seen her with an ashen face, white knuckles, sweating bullets or trembling knees….OR filled with rage. (Lim Ji Yeon wld be perfect for such a role🧡) She has a guilty, “I m sorry I baited you & dumped you at the altar” look. Her response to attacks hve always been ineffective. That’s why JH gets away with his diabolical behaviour. Someone commented that JM shld learn frm YJ. True. The latter uses her brains; the former is brainless.

This drama has become a Whac-A-Mole game. Those random critters /situations keep popping up unexpectedly & unwanted.

@SandraLuna I think you re the only one in this comment section who sees JH objectively. Many are pissed with his character. Now he's so unhinged - which is difficult to watch. JM & SR are easier to analyze - they re polar opposites - in their background & upbringing.
This is my take on JH. He has never fully embraced his family. Sure, he's grateful for what his adopted parents had done. Up until now, he's been a good son & bro. He gets the security of a family & the identity tat comes with it. He's diligent in his work & stays aloof. However, he's always waiting for 'the other shoe to drop'. He sees BH as the 'blue eyed boy' in the family. So validation is very important for him.
The discovery tat his bio mom is defective & vile also changes something within. And Nam Bong's affair with her.... left at the altar - his 'bride' ran off hand in hand with his brother - what luck? Now he feels it's his turn to be entitled. Yes, well said - " None of this is an attempt to justify an action, but simply an attempt to see the world through the eyes of wounded..."

I think SR has different reasons to be an ally to HY. 1st being JH. 2nd, her rivalry with JM. Your theory is correct - with the adverb 'eventually' SR's trigger word: Spanner/Wrench 😂-
tat shld jot her back to why she investigated HY in the 1st place. But she's a self serving chick; it may take more than a few eps for her to flip the switch!

Agree. The extension of eps is to create some conflicts btwn the characters. We dun like how they re turning SR into a villain in the making. But like what you say, maybe just for the time being. SR is spoilt. She gets jealous easily. Hence even if she knows abt the lovebirds, she still doesn't trust JM entirely. 🤷‍♀️

I thot HJ's character wld hve the hots for JH (instead of BH). I wonder how tat wld pan out.
I hve got a qn. Since I wasn't hooked on to this drama at the onset, I need to connect some dots.... HY had two pregnancies, right? JH's dad is dracula. OK. Who was she expecting her second child with?

I think the main reason JM agreed to the marriage was for revenge - bc JH is HY's bio son & to protect BH. Subsequently, she took tat opportunity to get HY to trade in SR. The audience cld see the backstory but SR cld not. She woke up & her world was turned upside down - the fun exchange turned into harsh reality. She just cldn't come to terms with the fact tat her twin was going to marry the man she has been crazy over. Let me put it this way, even if JM does not show up in JH's life; he wld still not fall head over heels with SR.😅

How abt the gist of this dialogue?
SR: What did you do while I was gone?🤨
JM: I didn't do anything. 😳
SR: How cld you even think of marrying him if you claim to dislike him so much?

@cosmiccosmetics Yes, HJ needs to beef up. Her character requires more development; she's been weak & insignificant so far. SW & HJ are small time grifters. HJ is starting to instigate matters btwn JM & BH. It doesn't matter if BH'll never give her a 2nd look, just stir the pot. We hve episodes to kill!
I think SW will discover the USB in the lipstick. Probably use it for leverage.

Naturally SR still has some lingering bond with HY. That's her "Omma" for 30 yrs. Sometimes her face shows hesitancy & some misgivings. Ofc she doesn't trust Dumb Mi - esp after the wedding fiasco. (Wld you trust Dumb Mi?). SR has been very entitled & the ONLY heiress - the apple of Chairman's eyes until Dumb Mi turned up. Sure there's gonna be some rivalry. What everyone cannot come to terms with is, the SR who was originally sharp & proactive in identifying suspicions b4 the accident has now been reduced to an irrational petulant girl. The other thing is JH. If she gets him; she will realign her moral compass abt HY's nefarious deeds & make tat internal switch. We cldn't do anything abt her chasing JH like a hyena in the past nor can we now. Tick tock,, tick tock🕝...until the switch flips in her head!!!🤯.Finger crossed.

I agree. None of us like the direction they re taking with SR's character. Hve you noticed tat JM has gotten a bit wiser? All at the expense of making SR look spiteful & petulant. I dun find it entertaining. If it's 120 eps, by now the twins wld be working together to resolve matters rather than petty rivalry. The look on BH's face when SR tore the papers to shreds 💭- this is what JH is like with me at home!
