I think the main reason JM agreed to the marriage was for revenge - bc JH is HY's bio son & to protect BH. Subsequently, she took tat opportunity to get HY to trade in SR. The audience cld see the backstory but SR cld not. She woke up & her world was turned upside down - the fun exchange turned into harsh reality. She just cldn't come to terms with the fact tat her twin was going to marry the man she has been crazy over. Let me put it this way, even if JM does not show up in JH's life; he wld still not fall head over heels with SR.😅

How abt the gist of this dialogue?
SR: What did you do while I was gone?🤨
JM: I didn't do anything. 😳
SR: How cld you even think of marrying him if you claim to dislike him so much?
Does that even make sense?😲
JM: It's driving me crazy too. Plse believe me, SR.😨
SR: You re lying to me. You were even going to marry JH.

@cosmiccosmetics Yes, HJ needs to beef up. Her character requires more development; she's been weak & insignificant so far. SW & HJ are small time grifters. HJ is starting to instigate matters btwn JM & BH. It doesn't matter if BH'll never give her a 2nd look, just stir the pot. We hve episodes to kill!
I think SW will discover the USB in the lipstick. Probably use it for leverage.

Naturally SR still has some lingering bond with HY. That's her "Omma" for 30 yrs. Sometimes her face shows hesitancy & some misgivings. Ofc she doesn't trust Dumb Mi - esp after the wedding fiasco. (Wld you trust Dumb Mi?). SR has been very entitled & the ONLY heiress - the apple of Chairman's eyes until Dumb Mi turned up. Sure there's gonna be some rivalry. What everyone cannot come to terms with is, the SR who was originally sharp & proactive in identifying suspicions b4 the accident has now been reduced to an irrational petulant girl. The other thing is JH. If she gets him; she will realign her moral compass abt HY's nefarious deeds & make tat internal switch. We cldn't do anything abt her chasing JH like a hyena in the past nor can we now. Tick tock,, tick tock🕝...until the switch flips in her head!!!🤯.Finger crossed.

I agree. None of us like the direction they re taking with SR's character. Hve you noticed tat JM has gotten a bit wiser? All at the expense of making SR look spiteful & petulant. I dun find it entertaining. If it's 120 eps, by now the twins wld be working together to resolve matters rather than petty rivalry. The look on BH's face when SR tore the papers to shreds 💭- this is what JH is like with me at home!

Well, that's the trajectory the drama is taking. Every one is flawed one way or the other except JM & BH. So SR being entitled & childish is played up so JM appears smarter, preferable & more deserving. She's got to be the better twin in this drama. The ultimate heroine.

Aera, if Dumb Mi didn't proposed the marriage thingy, SR wld not hve a deep grudge with her overJH. And JH wldn't be this bitter, hurt & vengeful. Imagine, dumped at the altar...and she ran off with his brother - double whammy. Sure, everyone blames him but she puts on the wedding gown & veil on her own.

Yep. Agree with you & Huruma. I commented b4 tat JH might be unalived. That's probably his redemption arc. There's no u turn for him in this drama. There's no love pairing btwn the twins & the brothers. Thus far, he's not falling for SR. The writers are out to paint him at his worst until there's some redemption. Definitely, saving Dumb Mi or he cld succumb to his childhood illness? Ofc, tat will drive HY mad. Like really MAD!

"If Hahm Eun Jung does this right..." exactly. But her character as Oh Jangmi is really irksome up to now. I hve always felt that Oh Hyun Kyung doesn't really hve the villain's stance. Remember Park Yoo-Kyung frm The Promise? She's like Maleficent. Her whole demeanor oozed evil.

Me too!! I watched it once half way, then stopped and resumed.
'The Promise' was my 1st makjang. Imagine, I was not prepared for the birth secrets & twin swap revenge! I still loved it. Lee Yuri really stepped up to the plate.

@Uvimolla WY is so smooth. Whether it's a display or real appeal - day 2 with YG, it's the perfume thingy, this wk - it's the vaseline lip balm with GR. You know when you bring up a personal thing/item tat only the both of you share - in front of other; it's like saying I m having tis special connection with you & you only. He knows how to make the girl feel like she's exclusive. Ofc, he can circle around the flowers b4 he decides his perfect match. But the girls can get hurt regardless. YG was surprised when he got into the car with GR in it. At dinner, she was getting sick - frm some hangover but I suspect the discomfort of watching WY & GR together might hve stirred her a little. I think he shld just 'relax' his charm a bit to prevent mixed signals.
SW is quite childish. But we'll see how he reacts to a catfish.
Yes, MJ deserves much better than the doc. She is unpretentious, realistic and can read the room. Plse bring someone worthy of her.

In The Promise, my fav twin died too soon...but the other twin held her own. Nobody plays the revenge arc as well as Lee Yuri. Miss her.
