Regardless of the ending, a story for me depends on how the story unfolds. At times a sad ending is necessary to make the whole journey worthwhile. The story and acting is splendid. The producer of this drama made the 2 years waiting worth it.

Well said the building of characters are really well done. They are relevant in every episode.

Done with ep 17 and 18 with eng sub. I can finally understand the mother. She is not evil her ways may not be acceptable but as human we act differently. Nanan being poor and young is not her concern. She knows by heart lujin loves nanan sincerely and she will be his only weakness. Power does come with responsibility afterall. She knows nanan is kind and pure. Coming from rags to riches her role as the mother is very much expressed well. Love the conversation she had with lujin and how lujin tried to maintain his composure at the same time hurting his mother in a way. Indeed he has never failed his mother in the past but nothing will stop him from loving nanan. Its gonna be his battle to the best of both worlds; business and love.

She gave up frst part of ep 18. But yes she took the courage to confess her feelings and after being rejected she admited what she did to nanan. Hence lu jin flew back to china right away

True . I hope chinese drama will get better and better. Rising actors should really learn from this. The performance of both leads are really superb. I see alot of actors trying to be reserved or conservative in their acts. Romcoms should be like this. Learn to connect with the character and give ur best. Even how cliche the plot is what important really is how the leads bring out the best of them.

It makes perfect sense. Im just so touched with the seen it was replayed in ep 4 which shows how he was paining and how much pride he had to sacrifice just to snoop on the phone of nanan. I can understand afterall he is his little brother and as what i understood he triggered the war between them with the revenge thing. Though a bit annoying on nanan's part i can understand the writer. She loves lu jin so she cares alot for those around him specially family. It shows how patient she has been with the mother. The story is really not super special but how the character potrays and how the lesson of each trials they faced together is what made this drama outstanding.

Can someone nice enough to explain why he cried when he was holding her when she was drunk and sleeping. I find the scene very touching but what was in the text messages? A man with pride and confidence will take so much will just to open her phone. It was a sign he totally surrendered to her.

Yeah i can see it trending almost everywhere. alot of us patiently waiting for sept 29. Waiting for what is yet to come. Hope the drama will give us a great ending. Rewatch value of the drama is already 10 for me.

True, considering his age he is expected to take control in protecting her. i think the pressure on him will be more on his career. They need to grow together and she has to understand his position entails responsibilities. if u watch trailer in ep 18 its already sinking to her what the mother has said.

No way. She played well in all her dramas. Whatever role she will play she will deliver and will give justice to the character. If she is given these characters it is because this is where she excels the most at this stage of her career.

Dont hate the mother and secretary too much. They are the tools to make them love each other more.
