I feel so lucky that I was able to watched this drama. I only saw the trailer for Episode 21 while I was scrolling through random video suggestions in Instagram. It really caught my attention and curiosity. I am guilty for being a sucker of fantasy and historical drama so I believe we are destined (lol). I can't get enough of the main leads' chemistry! The characters are well-portrayed by talented actors. I also want to give applause for the production team, the effects are beyond amazing and surely requires a lot of efforts and skills. Although I do not understand their languange (I have to rely on translations), I am very touched by the soundtracks, they suit the drama very well. Thank you show for inviting me here. 'Til the next season! SML.

This is a good show. I appreciate that they combined various genres in one drama. The ending was nice as well. The only downhill about this is, at some point, I got tired watching the love story of main leads and the love stories between the other workers got more my attention. I ship the frugal guy and Ms. Kim II, they look so cute together. I hope they could get their own drama together—soon!
Bless those people who created this drama especially those who decided to partner two set of brown eyes— Seo Kang Joon and Gong Seung Yeon. I love everything about this, imperfect and not the best I've watched but definitely worth my time. Fell in love with the characters (THE MAIN LEADS ARE MADE FOR EACH OTHER!!!!). I am very happy that SKJ got a role he deserves more than his character in "Cheese in the Trap". He showcased his great talent in acting, I was actually thinking the whole show that the characters of Nam Shin and Nam Shin III are played by different person. Can't wait for their other projects. Most of all, the story itself gave lots of lesson that we, human, usually overlook.
I had a high expectation with this drama since when I was younger until now, the title "Moon Embraces the Sun" is always accompanied by the phrase "one of the best". Unfortunately, I was seriously disappointed. It actually started great, the child actors and actresses owned it, too bad those who played as the grown-up characters failed to keep the fire burning 'til the remaining episodes. Idk but HGI didn't convince me through her acting even a bit, I couldn't see her as Yeon-Woo. Sorry, but I couldn't buy her "wide-eyed-I-am-innocent-acting". I feel bad for KSH because he obviously did his best, yet it was not enough to save the show. If only the first batch of actors and actresses portrayed the characters until the end, it would be SO MUCH BETTER. I thought it was a masterpiece but it turned out to be a mess.
Did they have romance between Lee Jong Suk and Jung Hae In
Yep. You can expect scenes of their bromance yet I couldn't assure you that the story would revolve around them. It was still great tho and much better if you watch it yourself. :))
This is a great drama. I love how it started and ended. I admit that the middle part of the story somehow lost it's charm but not to the point that it became dull. I also admire Suzy Bae for her acting, I've watched her in Gu Family Book and I didn't like her acting back then. I can really see the great improvement she worked hard for. Lee Jong Suk and Jung Hae In stole my heart, they're both adorable in their own ways. Hae In deserves more project (MALE LEAD *coughs*) not just because of the looks he got but also because of his talent.
The rating makes me laugh, like are you serious? This drama is one of the best dramas I've ever watched! I won't be able to forget about the lessons I learned through this drama, so pure and never failed to move my heart.
I honestly don't know why this is so underrated. The story is a pure lit as well as the characters. Please do not be discourage by the negative reviews and see it for yourself.
I am a fan of Ji Chang Wook but unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed when I saw this. It took me 20 days to complete the whole drama which is odd because I usually watch dramas in span of 3 days as maximum. In my opinion, it was really boring and the plot didn't make sense even from the beginning. I couldn't say that there was no chemistry between JCW and NJH yet something was off. I couldn't point it out. The second lead's chemistry was better, they look so cute. And I really appreciate the actor who played as the killer. He really did well in portraying his character. Lastly, I could say that the best part of this drama was the OST. I loved it more than the plot itself. Sorry not sorry, this is just my opinion anyway.
I'm so grateful that I didn't dropped this drama, instead, I chose to gave the chance it deserves. It was a bit slow at the first episodes especially on Episode 1 but trust me, it gets a lot better the more you watch it. You just need to have some patience. The greatest thing about this drama is the characters. Yang Se Jong, damn boy, I liked you ever since I saw you at RDTK, but this is when I fell in love you. Lol. He's such a great actor, he incredibly played three different roles, not to mention that he's a rookie— a super rookie. :"> I can't wait to see more of him and watch more of his acting.
I consider myself as a fan of both main leads—Go Kyung Pyo since I've watched "Reply 1988" and "Chicago Typewriter" as well as Chae Soo Bin since her drama "Rebel Thief Who Stole The People." And fortunately, they didn't dissapoint me this time, though i won't deny that their chemistry was a bit lacking at the first episodes, after some times it wasn't really bad after all.
Yet I also have to admit that the second lead couple has more interesting story and chemistry. They're so cute and loveable in any way they could be. Kim Sun Ho's visuals are so damn fine while Go Won Hee has a lot of aegyo to show. I hope they have more screen time and moments because they deserve it. Well, I couldn't do anything about that since the show was completed so I just hope they would have another drama together and this time, they're the main leads. Sml.
I am a fan of 2 days 1 night so it wasn't surprising that this drama got my attention instantly. My love for this, before and after I watched it doesn't change. I love everything, especially the actors. MY Donggu did a wonderful job and I can see that he finally took "the road that wasn't located in the GPS". And his reactions are all meme-worthy. Hahaha. Of course, our RaPD, Cha Tae Hyun did a good job for the first timer. He must had a hard time being an actor and director at the same time, but nevertheless he was still amazing. I also love the OST, all songs add emotions to every scenes. All in all, it wasn't perfect but it was DDABOOOONG! sml for this drama.
PERFECTION. This drama took everything to another level. I hope they can make a side story that focuses on their past life. I love their friendship so damn much.
One of the strength of this drama is yoo ah in's visual on his past. I lost count on how many times I died when the camera focuses on his face. Sml.
After watching the whole drama, the first thing that came to my mind was "why is this so underrated?". Yes unfortunately it is. Good thing I decided to watch it despite of having a low rating and negative comments. I was surprised how good the plot was. Everything was so relatable and realistic, it shows how real life works. The casts did a great job, especially the two main leads and baek siblings. And for the ending, it's not that bad IMO, unlike what most ppl are saying. It was more like an open ending so it's your decision if you'll think a positive or negative continuation. I srsly like everything and have no problem about the ending. This is one of the best and most underrated dramas out there! Go watch it, it's not too late to witness another good drama!
Finally finished watching this after several months of thinking whether I should watch this or nah and fortunately IT WAS GREATER THAN WHAT I'VE EXPECTED AND BETTER THAN WHAT OTHER REVIEWS ARE TELLING. I watched this because of Ji Chang Wook, he's one of my favorite actors since I saw "Healer", but dang, other casts really surprised me. It was my first time seeing Im Yoon Ah's acting, i thought she can't act because I often read it from others' reviews but in my opinion, she gave a justice to her role, she's not a "near to perfect" actress but she's not as bad as they always say. Ji Chang Wook, well, I know how great he is no need to explain that, he's so good in everything, we couldn't do anything about it, lol. And here was Song Yoon Ah, who caught my attention the most, i'm so amazed how she makes me annoyed at one point then suddenly replace it with pity. I love her character from the start until the very end.
I also love the action scenes, even though it has a lot of plot holes, I still enjoy every second of it. When it comes to romance, the main leads obviously have it. IYN and JCW look good together, there are some scenes where I also ship him with SYN, which is odd because I've never experience a second female lead syndrome before, lol. As what I've said, there was a chemistry, idk why other people keep on saying that there was none. Maybe, not too much but at least it has, right? But then, I still prefer JCW and PMY's (Park Min Young) love team, I'm a shippppperrr, sorry not sorry.
So yes, these are my opinions, i apologize if it's a bit long and sorry for comparing it to others'. It's just because I want to tell those people who are still confused if they should watch this to go on! Don't let negative reviews stop you from watching this. It isn't the greatest drama i've watched but it doesn't deserve all the disappointment it gets.
P.S comfort me, i miss JCW so bad. :( let's pray for his safety in his military service and wait until he comes back!
