That’s kind of my point, we’re this far through and at the beginning of the ZZ arc… so is the XW romance going to be really short… could ruin the drama for me personally because I want to see a good well paced relationship between JXN and XW not something hashed quickly together right at the end…

I deliberately haven’t watched 19 and 20 because want to get through the ZZ arc in one painful go for my poor XW but if 21 and 22 are still a love in for JXN and ZZ I’m starting to seriously worry about pacing… we’re quite far through now and she still is afraid of / dislikes XW… is their romance going to be rushed and not well built up? Starting to worry I do love this drama so far but this could ruin it for me…

This has answered my question… not going to watch 19 and 20 until more eps come out because I don’t want to watch the ZZ arc without knowing there’s light at the end of the tunnel! Don’t want to watch more Xie Wei suffering until I know I can see their ship start to sail!! Agree I don’t want the romance to start right at the end though it’ll spoil what at the moment is a really good drama…

This is a really good point actually, I think it would kind of ruin it for me if they don’t get the pacing right on their relationship. If all the pay off comes right at the end I think it would spoil it. Maybe I just want them together so much I’d find it really frustrating!

I don’t really understand why people are getting so worked up about fictional characters tbh… I personally like Jing but if people prefer XL that’s up to them we’re all allowed opinions and it doesn’t need to get nasty… they’re not real! I do think XL is an interesting character but I do find him up to this point to be toxic to XY… he literally sucks her blood it’s gross. Up to where I’m at he sucked so much blood out of her arm she literally collapsed… that’s romantic? But that’s my opinion. Everyone is allowed one!

Agh because this is ending soon I'm trying to find something else to watch but I’ve got no motivation! What modern drama could ever beat this… it’s so so good. I’ve never rewatched scenes this much ever…!
