This show will definitely be a hidden gem. People will randomly discover it in a few months/years and wonder why it's not as popular as it should be.

And everyone who genuinely enjoys this show can't even rate it atleast an 8 because *checks notes* comedy here…
I rarely give anything over an 8 rating but you’re right, it definitely deserves higher.

I don't know how to explain it but all the worst insults against this show are actually compliments about why it's a fantastic show. Yes, it's cringey, over the top, slapsticky, melodramatic, weird, obsessed with fitness - and it's awesome! Have you ever laughed out loud, giggling, kicking your feet, screaming, "so stupid!" , grinning like a maniac, and then the next scene you're clutching your imaginary pearls because the ML is so sweet and wholesome? No? Then you've never love a show as much as I love this show. I never thought they could pull a show based around gym rats but here we are. One of a kind, that's for sure.

Title Pump Up the Healthy Love Spoiler
This doesn’t feel like a romance. This feels like a good old fashioned comedy and I love it. I felt weird about the bodybuilding competition. None of the competitors looked like bodybuilders. they were just tanned and skinny. No muscular definition like actual bodybuilders have. I was excited to see a drama set in the world of Physical 100 but the that competition left me disappointed. It made the plot feel superficial. I also hated how the mom body shamed her daughter and excused it because the daughter was underweight when she was born. That’s no excuse for being so rude in general. I want the ML and FL to get together but honestly they have more chemistry as friends so far. I don’t think the kid is his but we’ll see where the story goes.

I’d watch that. 🤣

I don't know in Korean, but in english the title sound like some adult drama
It actually reminded me of the American movie, PUMP UP THE VOLUME starring Christian Slater, about a local DJ.

does anyone else feel a little triggered with the beauty standards and the way they talk about weight even though…
I get that people a getting triggered but that says more about their relationship to anything addressing weight that about what the drama is saying. Only two episodes in and I've only seen positive representations of people considering strength training and weight training. Yes, there's some teasing of bodybuilders but it's more satire than punching down. It's much better than plus size representation in ATYPICAL FAMILY or OH MY VENUS. Those were pretty awful.

Some are triggered by the fl's body issues and are unable to understand the plot, while others think it is too…
Agreed

I really like this drama. I love the silliness and I don't think it's shaming larger sized people. I have a lot of gym friends and most people really just want to be healthy. You'd be surprised at the variety of body shapes, types, and sizes there. +1 for not having the FL wear a fat suit, which is totally unnecessary. So far so good. My one pleading hope: PLEASE DON'T LET THEM HAVE MET IN CHILDHOOD. 😭😤 I'll throw my laptop and I can't afford to do that. It's expensive.

I loved it! This was my first daily kdrama and as frustrating as it was at times, it always kept my attention. Loved the last 6 episodes. No loose ends and everything was tied up nicely.

It was a serviceable easy to watch romcom. I enjoy the lead in other series. It was nice to see them again. I…
This drama gave me the same vibes as Love Scout. An easy watch, with likable leads, and a villain with an unjustifiable reason to be so hateful. Both dramas are forgettable. I will say though, the couple in Love Scout had wayyyyy more chemistry.

Now that I think of it, Brewing Love was also forgettable with pleasant leads, an unreasonable villain, and easy to watch.

this kind of got me out of my kdrama slump but halfway through it started being another generic show, such a shame.
I was going to drop it on ep 12 and then realized that it was the last episode.

can Ina get her own drama with that boy😭😭 they were so cute
At the end of the last episode, she's 18 and he's 21. And I think she's training to be an idol. That would make a great show.
