the comments saying hanyan was reckless and not being transparent about her motives have me a laughing a bit like…
But actually, what terrible thing did Ml do to her? He hides her crimes, saves her from torture, saves her friend, and risks his position for her. As far as I’m concerned, the only serious accusation you could make against Ml is that he doesn’t reveal the truth about his health condition.
Ep.21: this drama isn't about revenge or even romance. It's lessons in Feminism, which I would normally like but…
I also support women's liberation, but here this emancipatory narrative takes on an almost grotesque character. The screenwriter tries so hard to be a model, exemplary feminist that it simply becomes ridiculous. There's a lack of subtlety and moderation. He definitely overdid it and created overly one-dimensional, cartoonish female and male characters. Besides, only noblewomen can fight for their freedom here. Even today, having money and a high social position makes it easier to achieve independence. This is feminism, but only for the privileged.
After eps 23, this is the first drama that I don't like the FL. That selfish ruthlessness and arrogance. Hopefully,…
I doubt there will be any change in her character or even a slight softening of the FL. The screenwriter is determined to show us how strong, proud, and self-sufficient this character is. I’m afraid that any potential transformation might no longer be believable for the audience, considering how many episodes are left.
People may hate Yunxi for the roof tile scene I don’t care.. his eyes were full of tears when she said you want…
For me, that rooftop scene was just meant to show that the FL is equal to men, or even surpasses them in cunning. But we already know that perfectly well. Nothing new. I also don't quite understand her "revenge." Didn't she promise the ML before the wedding that she would consult with him on decisions affecting them both? She was also supposed to protect his family, yet at this point in the plot, she poses the greatest threat to his daughter and mother. He has more to lose than she does. She should understand him better, because for her friend, who is the only person close to her, she was also ready to do anything. So far, the ML hasn't let the FL down after the wedding.
Small spoilers but mainly spoiler tag for length and not exactly positive commentary on the current state of the…
I share these concerns. If it were 40 episodes, I wouldn't be complaining about the pacing and side plots. I doubt they'll manage to wrap it up neatly. Every episode is meant to show us how amazing and brave the FL is, but we already know that well. Because of that, her one-dimensional portrayal as an unyielding warrior is starting to irritate me a bit. I'd also like to see another side of her, perhaps a gentler one. FL's dream was to find her place, but because she constantly has to fight against the people around her, the writers never give her a moment of peace to deepen her relationships with her new family. FL always has to be alert and ready for the next heroic act. The plot is too dense, and it's starting to feel exhausting. In Blossom, the balance between intense events and the ordinary lives of the main characters was maintained better, and we had a similar number of episodes.
The genre should change to historical and drama because where is the romance I was promised? There was so much…
I feel the same way. So now Fl is going to liberate oppressed noblewomen and promote sisterhood? We even got a lecture about virginity in a modern spirit. OK, but can we finally get a love confession and at least a few romantic scenes? I’m a viewer for whom the romance plot is important. If this series had 40 episodes, I would be more patient.
I'm also starting to sense a sad ending. I saw a scene (most likely from the drama) where our FL enters the imperial palace as the empress. She looked a bit older than before. This would mean that the ML came from the royal family and had passed away. The drama really wants to portray an independent and self-sufficient heroine, which could imply widowhood. I hope they won’t give us the cliché ending where they live together happily for a few years (or maybe even less) until the ML dies.
Not going to believe you as the novel is Happy ending. So, we shall see how it play it out. If you are right or…
In one of the scenes, probably from the drama, I saw the FL dressed as an empress. She looked a bit older, which could suggest that the ML had royal lineage and passed away, leading her to take the throne. This would align with the show's theme, which emphasizes the strength of women. It’s possible that the writer intended for the couple to have a few years of happiness before ultimately being separated by his death. However, I really hope that’s not how it ends.
Violating sfl is bit too much for me she was bitch but they could just beat her not doing that to her. How she…
I also believe that Sfl met a fate that was too cruel. However, she was the one who sent her cousin after Fl, who sexually assaulted and beat her. I also appreciate the attention to detail in this drama. The grapes and the lighter had their double, sensual meaning here.

Many short dramas I've watched recently felt unnecessarily long, as if the writers were trying too hard to make them more engaging by adding silly, annoying subplots. As "Grab Your Love" shows, all you really need is a simple but cohesive story with good actors, and it ends up being more enjoyable than most supposedly "deep" and overly elaborate dramas.
I just started this series. How is it for those of you who finished it?
A great short drama. One of the best I’ve watched. The story isn’t complicated, but it’s filmed in a rather sophisticated and skillful way. The direction, acting, set design, and music are top-notch. The lead actor is irresistibly attractive and charismatic. For me, there are no weak, boring, or unnecessary scenes. There are plenty of spicy moments and funny interactions between the characters. A very satisfying ending. There’s really nothing to criticize. I actually wish there were more episodes!
and if she is, what does she look the same and both of the look about the same age. I think they made a mistake…
The screenwriter didn’t put much effort into this. That plot twist is ridiculous. At least SML won’t be a romantic rival for ML anymore. I also fear that the mysterious man with the scar on his hand, responsible for the fire, will probably turn out to be ML’s father or some other relative. Still, many absurdities can be overlooked for the steamy moments between the main leads. The fiery romance is definitely the strongest aspect here.
So, I'm confused about something: is FL 18 years older than Jiang Dong?
I also don’t understand this unexpected 'younger brother' plot—he is 18 years younger than the FL. How would that even be possible? My explanation was that this so-called brother might not be FL’s mother’s biological son. However, from their conversation at the table, it seems they do share the same mother. I was also surprised that the mother, who had amnesia, didn’t ask about FL’s father. We still don’t know if he died in that fire.
I haven't commented on the acting in this drama so far because, for the most part, it was passable and I could…
Her "reserved" acting is somewhat justified by the fact that she portrays a character who is thoroughly rational and unemotional. She approaches life practically, and it's not in her nature to succumb to hysteria. She also anticipated that the supposed death of her family was a ploy by the king to force her to return home. It masks the fact that the actress is average.
FL's dream was to find her place, but because she constantly has to fight against the people around her, the writers never give her a moment of peace to deepen her relationships with her new family. FL always has to be alert and ready for the next heroic act. The plot is too dense, and it's starting to feel exhausting.
