I think they were criticizing the fact that she chose Gong in the movie. I don't know. I didn't think this scene erased all the drama. Plus, FL was narrating at the end before this scene if I'm not mistaken. As if everything really happened. At least when I watched it, it was clear to me' and I liked that separated or divorced or in relationship. They all found their happiness somewhere.

Also the music was very good.

I don't understand it like this. He probably made a comics out of their story turned into a movie later on. All the episodes really happened.
We are made to believe she chose Bei actually because she sits besides him and has the ring. And the ending shows that we can't always expect clean and simple ending in romance dramas. It doesn't have to end on a kiss between the main leads. And all the couples don't have to finish together to find happiness. That's how I understood the ending and it was satisfactory to me.

I didn't binged it because some episodes can be quite heavy emotionally.
What can I say? I need more dramas like this. They're challenging us and our expectations about romance. At first, I felt interested in the story, but uncomfortable about the lies and some characters actions.
But then I got attached to the characters, their emotions, their feelings, their story (don't judge a book by it's cover).
Every single character is interesting and even if I didn't like some of them because of their actions or values, I was completely into their relationships.
I think this kind of drama is more relatable when you're older, when you've had a few relationships already. Because you can relate with every single one of the characters at one point.
My 2 preferred ones are Gong and Da Sen.
All the actors were amazing! Some stories heartbreaking.
I can see why the ending would not be received the same by people.
Personally, I think it was brilliant and the text made me emotional. Life is complicated but can be beautiful.
Friendship was really important in this drama.
I don't have the right words and english is not my native language. But I recommend this drama. It really changed me and gave me hope (I know it seems crazy if you just started it) because it showed that you can choose the life you want to live if you're brave enough and you can choose to be happy instead of accepting your fate or a bad relationship.
I came for Liu Yu Ning but stayed for everyone.
There are no 2 main leads. They are all important for the story. I'm sad I have to say bye to them.

Chemistry, intimacy and kisses are really good. But the story is a mess. Lots of crazy twists, family dramas galore, villains who you want to slap.
I watched for the main leads beauty and sexiness but there are better vertical dramas out there for sure.

Unfortunately, most of Chinese dramas are dubbed for different reasons. Maybe you'll get used to it. I grew up in a country where every single foreign movie was dubbed, so I'm used to it I think.

I started this drama yesterday. Episode 2 was very confusing. I didn't understand some connection between some scenes. I had to go back but I was lost.
Are we supposed to get lost ?

Ok, finally, I'm starting this one. I love the actors and since I'm very nostalgic about the 90's (the best years🤗) it should be good 😊

I don't keep track of all the vertical dramas. But for exemple recently I watched "Captive of your love", plot is bad but it was spicy. (Toxic as always though).
You also have shorts. These ones were spicy and good : "Bound by sin", republican era with strong but submissive ML to dominating FL 🥵
"Love trap" has also good kisses if I'm not mistaken.
I don't remember the others. But on iQiyi you have the choice 😅

You should see vertical dramas then. It's even more spicy. But with even less plot haha

I'm happy to read your comment because I've been wanting to watch this drama since it aired but the bad reviews kept me away. I personally don't mind if the ending is open or complicated to understand. If that's why the rating is low. I tend to enjoy the journey more than the destination.
I think I'll give it a try.

I understand your point of view but humiliating their partner is an absolute "no" for me. If he's not acting like a responsible man, try to find a solution or leave him if you can.
In my opinion , you always have the choice to not treat the other like shit. I haven't seen the remaining episodes so I'll see how they're doing. If they break up, good for them. If they start again on different ground, good for them.
Her attitude is really triggering to me. Having heard my mother say horrible things to my dad and me at home, I just can't . It's not okay.

Their height and size difference was exciting. ML is handsome and sexy. But a psycho stalker who doesn't know consent. FL is beautiful but dumb and interested in money.
I preferred the 1st half of the drama. The intimate scenes were nice. But at the end the story was too crazy and long.
This drama is really showing toxic attitudes but it was addictive and funny.
In real life, ML would be in jail 😅

I'm currently watching it and enjoying it. But I was literally thinking. In real life, I would call the cops on this guy. But in the drama he's so hot. Haha

And yes their dynamics are realistic. This whole drama is actually. That's why I love it.

But the thing is that she knew he was like this when she got with him and they married after 5 years of relationship. She knew. Him being like this doesn't excuse her humiliating him with her words for years. Same for her mom.
It's better to break up before disrespecting their partner.
I've seen the following episode (until the middle of episode 20). I'm not happy she's suffering, but I can't be empathetic over a person who humiliates her husband like that. I know this kind of people and it's impossible to be happy around them.
