To be frank, the show is not as deep as people think, But this is what you get when you place literature students,…
I. LOVE. YOU. this is literally the best comment ive read in this section. sometimes i think ppl don't accept being frustrated with a drama so they simply fanfic everything and choose to believe that the writer was trying to mean sth they actually don't :v
Despite all my fear bc of HJE being the loudest human being alive, I decided to start watching this one today and this drama is good, I'm even fond of HJE on this one
Korea really is making an effort. We can't expect them to start off big. Imagine if they suddenly decided to make…
tbh i disagree with everything you said but okay i respect your opinion and im far from trying to convince you but did you purposely ignore the fact that the same Korea you're defending is airing a 24 episode drama with a rapist as main lead? you really don't need to answer since i don't intend to extend this discussion but just think about it. it's 2020 and if they don't have the guts to shake their patriarchal society airing a 24h drama about men loving each other romantically, they should at least educate their men well :)
heterosexual couple with trashy main actor: 24 eps of 60 min (24hours). heterosexual guy pretending to be gay (misleading a guy and making him develop an unrequited love just for plots sake) so that he could get a job: 16 episodes of 60min (16h). homosexual couple: 8 episodes of 10 min (1h20min). ok korea i can see you're really making an effort (¬_¬)
to me the biggest problems of this drama are i. viewers expectations ii. viewers assuming writers were gonna follow everything they wanted and distribute fanservice all the time. if you watch it without expectations and without assuming things you don't know will happen, youll be okay. plus ratings on MDL are beginning to remind me of ratings on viki: on viki ppl give ratings based on how fast subbers deliver subtitles and here ppl rate based on the fanservice delivered by writernim
I agree with you. Hopefully this isn't that, I haven't watched it yet though. I do want to watch dramas that show…
i am really uncomfortable with the plot main-guy-pretends-to-be-gay-bc-he-needs-money, the flashy clothes and my heart is surely not ready for the unrequited love and love triangle but kang tae wan saved the 2nd episode so try and check it out
i said this before and i’ll say it again: treating homosexuality like a zoo is not okay, its fetish. even if ppl have the best of intentions. on the other hand. as i don’t hate this show, i must say the 2 main guys raised a lot of good points on episode 2. more than drooling over 2 guys in a sensual scene with a measure tape *roll eyes*, the scene they talk about coming out and prejudice was reaaaaally relevant and good (and the reason main girl had for making the show was awfully ridiculous). anyways feel free to use this comment to try to educate my gay ass again, i’ll read and respect your opinion:)
