I don't like love triangles so can someone just spoil me in a reply who the main lead is that she ends up with so I'm not bothered when I watch guessing who it is (lol)
I'm wavering on whether to watch this, it's just sooooo many episodes lolol does it drag? A lot of cdramas lose steam around episode 30, does this one stay consistently fast-paced or is it on the slower side?
This actor stole the show in Battle of Changsha. He was my favorite character and I wanted to watch more dramas with him, but he seems like he doesnt have many! So talented and lovable in his role as Jun-Shan Brother-in-Law
This is the exact reason I make fan videos, it eases the hole in my heart after I complete beloved dramas. My channel is monny1emano on YouTube for anyone needing kdrama and cdrama therapy! lololol
Done watching this. And this became my favorite in all reply series.. I adored for a very long time the Reply…
As a whole, I still like 1997 more, but 1994 was really heartwarming and Trash became one of my all time favorite characters out of the three series lol
Glad i found this comment. I was a huge fan of Reply 1997. But when this came out, i saved for later because somehow…
please do try it! It might be more your cup of tea ^_^ I mean, I really didn't like Reply 1988 and that was also the reason why I delayed watching this, and now I regret not watching it sooner. I also think maybe because the characters are college aged, I liked their maturity more (even tho they are also immature at times too lol) I really liked it, so give it a chance!
it definitely does not deserve lower than an 8 while dramas with teen idols get 8.5s...I think people rate based…
ok, after completing the series I will have to give it a 7.5...the ending was not satisfying, and the last 20 episodes were boring. Without giving spoilers, I will just say the relationships and characters who made the show enjoyable and interesting to watch are not present as it focuses on a new generation. And I had no interest in those new characters. I think the show should've ended at episode 44...if it did, then it would've been a good show.
11 episodes in and I don't find this boring at all; I love how it is shot, the acting is incredible, and I am interested in the characters. I feel like I'm reading a classic novel as I take in the history, culture, setting, etc...it is truly a character study piece, and I absolutely love seeing the characters and their actions...they are acting like humans, showing both human faults and virtues. I love it so far.
I'll update this comment once I finish the series to see if my opinion changes, but so far it is a 9.5 from me, might become a 10 if it stays this good throughout the series.
The only complaint I have so far 13 episodes in is that the music is too loud and overpowers the dialogue; other…
it definitely does not deserve lower than an 8 while dramas with teen idols get 8.5s...I think people rate based on their favorites being in shows, hence why this drama is lower than it should be, because it does not have their favorite actors and it is too serious for them? Although I find this drama funny too. The emperor and his sons are a riot.
The only complaint I have so far 13 episodes in is that the music is too loud and overpowers the dialogue; other than that, I like it so far and don't understand all the negative criticism. Maybe because this isn't a typical romance drama, but moreso a political struggle drama, younger views mightve been upset by that; but I prefer good plot over romance...btw I'm in my 20s if that gives you context for my perspective
