I think the tan is because they live in the coast like in the shore and they were boys so I guessed they spent lots of times in the beach, also the classism is always one of the big tropes in Korean dramas so I guessed the times and living in the province doesn't help the cause much, IMO now on episode 2 you see the difference since then and later then lol.

Im watching the starry love but ehh its not enough liked the secondary couples way better than main couple but if you want something like this I recommend Love Between Fairy and Devil if you havent that was my patch in between part 1 and part 2 of AOS and tbh I ended up loving LBFAD more....
