The actual show is not Ai. Try it yourself. I don't think it's that bad. I dropped a lot of dramas this year, only finished Pursuit of Jade, Veil of Shadows, Ashes to Crown. Many dramas have worse visuals and boring plots. At least this drama is not boring.

I read your post in the discussion section, and it basically confirmed that you came into this drama with a strong bias. You even claimed that the whole drama was made by AI and that they simply used the actors' faces. That's such an absurd statement that I don't think there's much left to discuss. You're not interested in having an honest conversation—you just want to prove that this drama is the failure you already decided it was.

I think some of the criticism has been exaggerated, so it's worth filtering out some of the noise.

Personally, I think the cinematography is beautiful—the color grading, filters, and lighting all work really well. The CGI is only used in a handful of scenes, and I actually like the fast-paced storytelling. A lot of dramas these days feel slow and drag things out, which I find much less engaging.

I wasn't a fan of the original novel, but I think the adaptation has a much stronger script. I'd say it's worth having a little more faith before writing it off.

But after just three days, it already had the highest audience market share among all currently airing dramas in China. That means more and more people who are still on the fence will eventually give it a try as the story keeps getting better!

Episodes 9 and 10 were incredible! The revenge sequence at the orphanage had such a horror-movie atmosphere. The black-and-white lighting and shadows were stunning—they made the characters' faces look much more sculpted and gave them an even darker, more intimidating presence.

And judging from the preview, the next arc is set around the bank, including that scene where money is thrown all over the street. It looks like it's going to be so satisfying to watch!
