Normally, I can forgive if the story makes sense or not, I’m not here to nitpick, I’m here to be entertained. But this story is 100% pure abuse apologia and I can’t forgive that.
I really loved it. They really managed to not make me guess who is the killer. But I have one question. If they go back in time from their current timeline where her dad is healthy and her mom is a writer, they will bumped into themselves. They were both there on May 16th 1987.
I must say, sadly, that having watched Youth of May helped understand what the hell happened to Hee Seop’s parents.
Did I miss it because I binged watched the last episodes but did they mention why they had her bury the knife…
They didn't but I think it was for us to ponder if the king's concubine was the one behind the rumours that led to the crown princess' demise (and even the crown prince's death!)
I liked it! I love Yi Chan to bits! But I suddenly feel old because I noticed that if I were to go back to the time my mother was in 11th grade, it would be 1963 🥲
I really don’t understand the premise, why they just didn’t date in secret? Like in Seoul? I understand that she didn’t want to separate Yong Pil from his dad but they were already quite far apart when he was living in Seoul. Is it just that there is no reason to date if they can’t get married?
Like I’m really iffy about when they started dating but let’s say they dated for 7 years, what changed? I'm pretty sure I gathered it's not Sam Dal's mother illness.
They have such huge communication issues and they are both so bad at trying to understand the other’s feelings, I honestly can’t see them be happy ever after. You can say that they could learn and be better in the future but if you’re that bad after 5 years, it doesn’t bode well I’d say.
I really don’t get all the fuss about whether or not the queen dowager killed the crown prince 20 years ago. She tried to kill prince Sungnam AND his unborn child!
I’ve never related to a fictional character that much before. I’m not autistic but all of her sensory issues, I have the exact same issues. Although I have to admit that I was really surprised when she didn’t have any problem with the escalator at the mall.
Also she is 100% right, what the children have to deal with is abuse. It’s not because the abuse is systemic that it’s not abuse. Though, I have to say, it’s not “like” a prison, it’s worse than a prison. Most prisoners have access to a toilet, can sleep enough and have their meals on time.

Also, I was always threading sewing needles for my grandma when I was that age 🥹
I liked it though. It was maybe a wee bit too long and it was really violent but I really liked it nonetheless.

Ok to be clearer, whether he cries of happiness or sadness, I cry either way.
