I need to rant about the thing that makes the less sense in this drama. I guessed from the start that his father didn’t killed himself. Just when I thought ah it’s Hee Sung that killed him and he was so meticulous that he was able to make the cops believe it was a suicide. Then he bashed him with a rock. Eh what???
There are many many things that don’t make any sense but it’s really easy to be taken along for the ride and forget about them. It’s really easy to be entertained. There is never a dull moment. There is some really good acting too!
Pure happiness! It made me so happy, I totally want to watch it once a year for the rest of my life. Towards the middle, I even had to take breaks because my cheeks were hurting too much from smiling constantly. They are the sweetest couple ever! I also really like the grandma. Kim Young Ok is such a great actress. It's not perfect but what drama is perfect?
5 . The doctor is Jung Tae, Hee Tae's brother. You could see the limping ( it was from the gunshot injury when…
Thanks, I completely missed the limping.
Also, I know that missing loved ones is a completely true story, I just don't get how it can happen in the case of Myung Hee. So I guess the drama failed to convey that in a realistic way. I don't want to minimize any pain that real victims and their family went through and still go through in 2021. I just don't think what we saw is realistic.
1. Hee Tae is so sweet and absolutely adorable. Imagine the sweetest guy ever says he likes you and sings you a song he composed for you. Myung Hee was doomed from the start. 2. Somehow way more violent than The Nokdu Flower. I will absolutely never rewatch this. 3. This is really putting in perspective the events in Reply 1988. 4. I really like that I was sure the informant/homeless man was Kyung Soo the second he looked at the watch. 5. I didn’t get who that 2021 doctor was at the beginning of ep 12. 6. It’s literally impossible for paper to stay intact like that for 40 years but I forgive everyone involved. (Not that it makes a whole lot of sense that he never found her when she was just laying there in the same woods they got separated.)
It was good and I liked it. I laughed out loud many times. The ending made me happy and made me want to go give my husband the biggest hug.
But it was SO frustrating, I almost dropped it. Still another corruption story, still so much sexism in 2020. It reminded me why I stopped watching Korean drama. Seriously, I don’t get it. What’s wrong with being a mom? Do they still fire women when they get pregnant in 2020? If I was an employer, I would prefer to hire a women with 17 year old kids as oppose to a women who could get pregnant anytime.
Also, the ending is happy but only for Da Jeong. Any normal women watching won’t get their happy ending unless they are being perfect at their job AND a hero who catches criminals. Talk about a high bar!
I watched it because of Mr. Queen and while I vaslty prefer Mr. Queen, I must say that this one is highly entertaining!…
I find it absolutely hilarious that the he was totally fine with lusting after the emperor but falling in love is a big no-no! Haha! Also, someone knows why they both claimed that the emperor forced himself on him even though it all looked very consensual? It was the weirdest thing. Especially because that was what started all that lust frenzy in the first place.
I must also confess that I totally ship Yang Yan with the ninth prince. They had cute fan service but it also looked canon from the beggining the he is in a one-sided love with him.
