That's my problem with this drama too. The promotions are getting old. I kind of rather they didnt promote the drama this early because people are expecting it to air with all the guesting and promotions, end up with uncertain airing date. Might as well just lay low until they get a certain date

Some of the rumours sometimes excluded abay from their upcoming schedule. Plus, arent both ABAY and Best Choice Ever from Tencent and both are modern genre? I thought people said platform dont usually broadcast clashing dramas with same genre at the same time?

I'm quite done with this drama broadcast date, that i'm rooting it will just air on june or july lmao. I hope it will be postponed until june, or at least broadcasted 2 or 3 months after Best Choice Ever air. Even August or September will be fine with me. Seven has just started filming new drama recently, she wont be able to promote this drama now anyways. I dont want this drama to air now anymore. I dont mind waiting longer.

Well, they just finished filming the drama, usually casts will not appear on variety show until it is nearing airing date. And Seven rarely appear on variety show to promote her drama. Plus, it depends on the drama team decision after all, when they want to promote the drama. Shujin team seems to be lowkey since the filming started, so they probably will be lowkey until they are ready for airing. It is up to the drama team decision. ABAY route is different with shujin or xiaoyao or fty, as they allow reuters since the filming.

Idk which one is more secrecy, xiaoyao or shujin. But at least with shujin, it was based on novel, but we know nothing about xiaoyao😅. Is this seven's fans fate?

That's great. I love journey/adventures type of drama. Yeah, i'm imagining Journey to the West too. People been saying Seven's hairstyle looked a bit similar to Huang rong from condor heroes.

I'm already thrilled at the thought that Xiao Yao will be a journey drama type like legendary old school drama back then like Condor Heroes, Paladin, though this is a xuanhuan, not wuxia drama. I'm seated, especially with the team resumes

Definitely in 2024 because it is listed as one of Youku 2024 key drama. The air date is not yet available, as they have just finished filming in Jan. Probably end 2024.

It will increase more when they release the air date i guess. I saw them promoting this with 7's past dramas available on mango. Even on hi6, they didnt shy away to use With You, Go Ahead, and Road Home. I guess because they have most of Seven's hit dramas on their platform

This is the first time i feel like it's so hard to release seven's drama. Previously, i feel like it was not even this fussy? Like she got tv slot, then the platform just release it according to tv airing date. I dont even feel like there was much consideration about which other rival dramas are airing at the same time slot.

😅 i'm sure there will be romance, it's just that i'm guessing the story will be more about the journey of both leads solving mystery instead of pure romance like the usual xianxia. I saw people on weibo saying the synopsis is similar to inuyasha, so yeah.

Under the power was about solving crimes too and the drama still have romance, i'm sure Xiaoyao is like that. Unless you like pure romance drama like the reincarnation xianxia theme, which i think xiaoyao is not based on the director, screenwriter, and staffs resumes.

I am reading fan analysis of this drama behind the scene team on weibo, and most of what i gathered the staffs work resumes used to work in investigation type of drama.

Some of the dramas the directors, art director, producers, have worked in are Under the Microscope, Luoyang, Police Honor, The Knockout, Longest Day in Chang'an, Glory of Special Forces, Wind blowing in Pinellia, though some have worked in Little Matchmaker Bamboo Forest. But the staffs resumes are mostly in mystery investigation type of drama😅.

I'm anticipating Xiaoyao will be a fantasy mystery solving crimes type of vibe because the staffs resumes vibe is really not a romance vibe. Both the female and male lead will worked together in a journey to solve mysteries of strange cases in fantasy world

We can hardly find anything on shujinrenjia too. That was even worse because they didnt release the booting ceremony and announced the drama officially only weeks after the drama filming wrapped up😹

This is a normal operation in Seven's dramas😹. We were already feel grateful that Xiaoyao released the booting ceremony videos and pictures. Previously, we cant even get shadow of her shooting because most of her dramas are very secretive in filming😅. Usually her dramas dont allow reuters

Omg, so this drama is produced by Liu Bai team who produced the Longest Day in Chang An and Under the Microscope 😳. Combined with the Knockout director, this is not a common xianxia/xuanhuan drama. My anticipation is growing

No, there is no novel. This is not a book adaptation. This drama is an original script. But they have the drama synopsis summary graphic in weibo that explain XiaoYao/Ning an, and Hong Ye. Just a synopsis.

Seven will have two identities in this drama, Princess Ning An who is connected to Hong Ye, and Xiaoyao who is a normal girl. I'm so excited to see her acting two personalities, Xiaoyao and Princess Ning An will have opposite personality.

Btw, this is an iQiyi s+ drama with the hit Knockout drama director last year, so i'm looking forward to this drama's quality. I love how the team is so efficient with live updating the drama booting today with complete editing.
