why do all the people who time travel to the past start talking to their loved ones about things they wouldn't know. Like what's the point of calling them dad when they are just 18 and wouldn't know who the hell you are and what's the point of explaining them the incidents that happened in future when they are still in the past? Like no matter what someone says but if my future daughter or son time travels and start randomly calling me mom I wouldn't believe them.
Ha eun gyeol kept calling Yi chan his dad, i get it he was surprised the very first time and it must have made sense but why does he do it all the time :)
You missed the entire point of this show. No one is forcing anybody to view the MC as victim. She was a grey character.…
Absolutely! I don't understand the need to make everything ROMANCE. Its as if a woman is incapable and she needs to be constantly be saved by the Male lead.
Men will get by with being called "different, good evil, twisted, saviour" but not the women. They should just be doormat according to them.
Its always the true beauty and my id is gangnam beauty people. No offence to both the show, they maybe good in their own way. But these two are two different genres. Therefore expecting same elements to take place is just weird.
You missed the entire point of this show. No one is forcing anybody to view the MC as victim. She was a grey character.…
Tell me you are dumb without telling me you are dumb.
I am not contradicting myself. Do you understand the nuances of how a tv series or movie is made? I only said there are character to layers. Nowhere I said she is not a victim, I said, on a larger scale, what happend to her is what the society to did to her. The way she chose to livestream, the reason why she chose to hide herself behind a mask - its all because of the way she was treated.
You are the only one parroting "Ugly people should not behave this way and what not" Dude no one behave this way because they want to, read about its genre. What dark means and a how dark show is made.
You do not seem to have the understanding to make out how some characters are portrayed. Not everything is black and white, not everything needs to be crystal clear. Somethings are always untold.
Not everything needs to be a romance and "oh the ugly girl or any one for that matter should settle to what they are getting" - It's wrong ffs.
You seem to be more empathetic towards that rapist than the lead here who was just trying to live her life and got dragged into the mess. She was not a serial killer by any means, the murders happened.
She was living her life quietly, no? She was getting by right? Not all people just get on a killing spree, yes. But she almost got raped on what she thought was date. She was made fun of. Her life was being dictated by others. As if her face was a curse.
According to you, God forbid, anyone try to protect themselves from being killed or raped because smh the Nam joo guy was in love with the lead so she should be ok? Enlighten yourself. Not going to reply to your stupid takes anymore.
You missed the entire point of this show. No one is forcing anybody to view the MC as victim. She was a grey character.…
I'm not trying to prove my point or force you think the way I do. I'm only stating what I got from the show and what the series was trying to show.
You are the one who is failing to understand the layers of how series or movie works. The gray characters do not mean the one from YOUR( understand what a You is here) point of view. Just because you as an individual failed to know what was going on doesn't mean the show just failed.
The reading comprehension needs to be from your part because I did not say that the writers failed the rest of the characters. Like make it make sense? I was talking about how they showed them all at a larger spectrum.
"MC was a victim to what the society did to her. Everyone closed to her failed her." - What is there to understand? Do you know what a society is? What a society is comprised of? Are the closed one's from some other planet? They are the society!!! How difficult is to understand?
The writers did not even show the MC as some kind fairy or anything for you to cry about how she was shown as the victim. She was a gossiper, she bitched about people, she spew the same shit that everyone did about plastic surgery, she was ready to be a home wrecker.
Please do not watch Park chan woo films, you'll start going bonkers over the characters in that too. And may even go through a crisis of why MC is given a screentime or why they should be sympathised.
You missed the entire point of this show. No one is forcing anybody to view the MC as victim. She was a grey character.…
You are hell bent on making it look like the show was trying to make her as the victim. They were not.
if they were trying to make her as victim they would not have shown the POV of so many people, they would have kept her away from the jail. In the original Webtoon she did not even go to jail.
You said if you were going to show a gray character, do it properly - What else are they supposed to do? Just only show the evil side?
The premise of the show is not "ALL UGLY PEOPLE DO THIS" That's a very wrong way to see it. What they tried to show was how a child grow up feeling this way, their own mother disrespect them and their friends who are supposed to be there for them turn this way. She did livestreams and apparently even after being the most popular, her face was still ridiculed and that was also the reason why she was taken advantage of.
You are literally looking at one side of "What about Nam joo" What about him? Just because he showed some love to Momi she should jump on the opportunity and be with him?
You are forgetting that he too was in love with her "face." When she did do the surgery, he was so disappointed. He only wanted her for him. He was obsessed with her. You are making it seem like the ugly people should just settle with what they are getting.
About the SA'd - That's what a gray character is, she was not morally right either.
Even Nam joo was gray. He, too, was a victim of society's terrifying beauty standards. Being invisible to the world, just living his life and bullied all throughout.
Society does play a huge role in how people turn out to be. Why do you think it's not the society's fault? How will Characters like Mo Mi and Nam joo survive when all they are met with is rejection. Its easy to say that she too was to blame because everyone faces the ugly notion in life. The characters never felt any love from their parents nor from their peers, they were bullied, called ugly and it continued in the workplace too and smh you think they should just Suck it up. Mo mi never wanted to kill people it just happened. Two of them was self defense and even the third was self defense.
If shows that takes place around Rape, assault, murder is "woke" and "Me too" core then be it. Still the reality does not change that these incidents does happen. The series tried to show the multifaceted plots of generational trauma and how that too can ruin lives. The young Momi who was just 5-6 year old was not aware of the life ahead and that's why she was full of life and optimism. The life then took a turn for the worse.
Nam Joo's mother despite having all the evidence chose to only see her son as the victim and innocent.
If the director wanted to make the MC as victim they would have shown her popularity even after committing the crime or somethings like that, none of that happened.
It was just okay. I honestly think this was overhyped.Just one of those movies that tries to be woke by making…
You missed the entire point of this show. No one is forcing anybody to view the MC as victim. She was a grey character. That was the whole point and that's what they were trying to tell. The reason Nam Joo even got the second episode solely dedicated to him was to show his point of view where the director showed us how Mo mi never saw him and how invisible he was to the world.
Woke≠ Topics of Rape, sexual assault, murder, beauty standards, bullying. All they tried to do was highlight the reality, the insane lengths people go to.
Comparing Mo Mi and Nam joo is just wrong. Having a crush on the boss, stealing glances is not similar to stalking someone, sending threats and then raping them.
MC was a victim to what the society did to her. Everyone closed to her failed her. "Not every good looking people gets love" - This is not just about love. It about all the things that is one denied of because of their looks.
Things spiral, you do things that you never imagined, life changes that's what happened here too. The good and evil does not exist here, it's black and white. Everyone is a mix of both the traits.
I don't really go for a storyline that KTL had but I still loved the show. It was simple, there wasn't any unnecessary love-hate clichés going on. The ML wasn't an asshole to the FL for the majority of episodes. They liked each other, fell in love and then focuses on themselves. Even their friends had good storyline. I really needed a refreshing story that followed less drama. They were mature and had a relationship that was built on trust and love. And The chemistry was off the charts!! I liked the last two episodes, too. I thought sarang would forever stay in that hotel but even she realised maybe this isn't what she wanted to do Less drama, more love, more trust and a healthy relationship.

I just realized if I were to be in a situation where evil spirits exist and I had to do something to get rid of them, I won't be able to do it lol. I won't be able to take so many chances. The way the spirit played mind games i definitely won't be able to trust myself in any circumstance. I would need a hard proof that this is how you do it or else I'll just die doing something wrong. My surviving skills= 0.
"So, was it her older sister?"maybe? if she's not mok dan's older sister, who is she? how does she have mok dan's…
Thank you for the explanation.
I'm just guessing but we are only seeing Mokdan wandering around and playing hide and seek. I think this ghost(then a kid) must have seen Mokdan doing the same(cue: the villagers too watching her moves) It could be that some kid must have seen it as a playfulness and followed her to see where she is going. For example, Mokdan asks the shaman if there's food to eat. I'm guessing that some innocent kid must have followed her and could have swapped the place.
It was heartbreaking that Detective Seo died, he protected Yeom and wanted to solve this mystery since so long.
It's interesting to see how the story is unfolding now. So it wasn't Lee Mokdan who died. So, was it her older sister? I mean, yeah, they didn't see who was under that blue sheet when they killed her but it could it be that they somehow messed up and killed someone else?
Also, can anyone explain what the moon phases meant here? Sanyoung said something about the full moon? Did they have to do the ritual on full moon or was it about someone else seeing the moon? That part didn't make any sense to me.
Definitely a clichéd cheesy drama with a rich man and working class woman. Nothing major is going on so one can watch it out of boredom. I like the actors and the chemistry is pretty good too.
