I can be wrong, but I have a feeling she'll jump to the next project after this one. There are just so many unconfirmed drama rumors with her name attached, it seems unlikely she'd let the opportunities pass by. It's pretty exciting to see what she and her team picks next 😁

I actually didn't know any of this director's past works, but I know I will still watch this drama because of the book and the main leads. But I'm still currently watching Rising With the Wind and I posted earlier here that when I realized it's the same director for this drama, I now have more expectations for this adaptation seeing just how that drama is directed 😊 I also shared in that drama page that I'm seeing a connection with this director's choice of projects with main protagonists being imperfect characters 😁 I am hopeful that this drama will be released not too long after post production is done. 💕

I read Black Lotus, and this Director is directing the drama adaptation. Ziqi in that book is a morally gray anti-hero of a male lead. With this drama and then Black Lotus nearing its end of filming, I just feel like this director has an affinity to imperfect characters. 😁 will keep tabs on all his future projects from now on 😊

Youku has some good dramas, I think, just that they weren't well-promoted, so Youku always lose the opportunity to be credited with their good ones. The ones they promote heavily tends to be the ones that can be easily criticized. Basically, they're a company that does not take the time to research on the products they have in their storage. They place their bets on the wrong ones, I think 😅

Just found out about this. Anyone knows if it's an original script or based on a novel? Even if it's still a rumor, I want to look into it 😁 Will also check the director out.
