As you read through her journey, it can be understood that she lost her sense of identity when she was taken from her family at an early age. And because of it, how can she love another, when I doubt she even loved herself. At least from my reading experience, her gain of wisdom towards the end of the book was satisfying. It's what I meant about her having one of the best character developments, compared to some of the other revenge novels with a similar plot.

She was aware of her feelings, but she needed to learn more about herself first; it was deprived from her from an early age. She has one of the best character developments. So it was more satisfying when it came time to allow herself to love, even if it was towards the last parts of the book.

Towards the last parts of the novel.

No third party, and no complications with other individuals in terms of romance. The hindrance came from the protagonist's state of mind throughout the ordeal of the story. Very understandable, and the character's journey to self realization added to the romance, from my POV 🙂

Omg, finally ZYL looks right!! I don't know if it's just me, but production teams can sometimes style him in ways that are not flattering or give his good looks a disservice. This styling choice is already better. Also, did he buff a little? Which would make sense because his character has a military background. Loving both EY and ZYL character images so far!

The 3,000 drones were paid for by Esther's fandom called Pomegranates, to support her on her new drama project. It was a surprise for Esther, and they came completely prepared with practiced cheers. It was done in Hengdian where Esther is currently filming. It's like their version of Universal Studios backlot, where historical dramas are filmed. That's my way of explaining it, because I'm also from the US ✌️the drone show can be seen all throughout the city of Hengdian. As for the cheers' translations, I hope someone may be able to help as well 🙂

I haven't continued watching SIL, but once I do, I'll try to remember. But yes, I remember from the novel. It's just never a gaurantee how it will translate into a drama.

There is nothing wrong in pursuing love, it is the highest energy. Her self-respect comes from knowing what makes her happy, and happiness is key. She'd rather pursue it than live a lie. More than anyone, she knows Zhao's character, and he is far from perfect. For Zhao who had lived his life believing he was never a priority or that nobody wanted him, she proved to him that he deserves to be chosen and be loved. The drama may not have fully fleshed this lesson out, but it is up to the viewers to see for themselves the overall picture. Among all the characters in the story, it can be discussed that Mu is the bravest.
