And why are you going for the larger bones, why not replacement of phalanges, carpals, metacarpals, maybe parts of the rib cage or portion of the skull?
Moreover, they're using metal alloys as part of their printing material, maybe, just maybe it works for the larger bones like tibia/fibula too.

Also, irl, in case of irreparably broken radius/ulna, there have already been 3D printed arms (not bones) that are functional robotically.

I'm no surgeon, but who knows in the future, medical researchers are able to find the right material for 3D printed bones that can withstand pressure and facilitate mobility.

Of course, nothing we create can be the same as that created by the Almighty, but credit to the scientists that are always trying.

Note the moments before they had the bet, she was falling deeper for him - that he came to find her as he knew she was alone and upset, that he remembered her preferences after so long, she found out it was he who cooked that meal for her many months ago, he cared enough to have her wish before her birthday was over.

There's the shock of the fact that her ex was with one of her bffs and she didn't know about it.

Then, the bet, she asked if he would give her what she asked for in case he lost and she wanted to keep the bet when he says yes.

Then, there's the tension that's being created between them from quite some time.

But all that and then, she also had drunk a bit.

Your story is not quite as it goes.

Also, it was in today's episode that JX declared that bones is what they'll focus and specialize in, and if they even get 1% of the market share of artificial bones, it's still big enough to go in billions.

Let's look at the timeline guys, it was the day JX signed the contract with HT that she wore the ring, and soon after, they broke up.

It was 2-3 weeks later that HT met her mom, then it took Xingchen months to create and finalize their analog design, hire more people, move to the DongYang building, buy a 3D printer and get it delivered.

Every time JX reported a major development to HT, it must be weeks apart. Then, there was a stated 6 month leap and some time has passed after that too while they created their first usable 3D printed bone prototype, looked for centers to collaborate for trials, and finally have their first surgery.

It's now been close to a year if not more, since JX and SYC had broken up. It's natural for both of them to try and move on. For those really bothered by SYC and WQZ's relationship could put their mind a bit at ease too.

And JX is already into HT now but for her it's just beginning, unlike HT, for whom it's been 11 years and so, she may think being together on her birthday was just too soon for her.

I completely agree, and this is what I have been thinking. The marketing has been so poor compared to some of the other dramas out there. The release timing as well was unsuitable. After a year long wait, it could have easily become a disappointment, but it was well-created and the leads delivered.
