Wait. Viki isn’t gonna do something crazy like release only two episodes a week….👀right?
I keep checking to see if ep4 translations on the YT channel got fixed, so I’m stuck at episode 4, but I know they’re already in uni by now.

Title Jun & Jun
hate those fucking bastards, who has fiancee and going to marry but running around someone else and ruin them…
huh?
A childhood engagement is different, is it not?
Neither party had a say in their “engagement” and they’re unlikely to marry since Young is aware that Jun is into Jun / guys.

I don't know either. These two are consenting Adults who have contracted for precisely the type of relationship…
Where does it say one is master and the other is servant / d&s, like you said? Is that in the manga?
Again, my only experience with this work is episode 1, so I might be ignorant, but just seems like meteorologist dude is controlling and probs possessive; so upfront asked to control manga dude’s life and manga dude agreed because free room, board, everything and freedom to pursue his passion.

No, literally. I was so confused and questioning if I'm just viewing things wrong because I read the manga. They…
Even without “love” on either side, there’s nothing iffy about their arrangement (so far). An offer was made and accepted. Manga dude seems free to go outside.

I never read the manga, so maybe I’m just ignorant, but why are so many comments calling it “dark” and “toxic” here?
These comments made me hesitant to watch, but when I did🤷‍♀️
They’re both sane adults. He wasn’t forced nor coerced into the arrangement. Meteorologist dude seems AWARE and upfront about being controlling.
Where’s the wrong in this?

I assume that’s a link to a YouTube translation. Thanks. I’ll do a search. I’m sure it’s safe, but the internet is a scary place to go clicking links.

That’s not fair.
They’re different. If they’re working opposite each other, then the comparison is fair. Now, not.

👀French were colonisers. They stole, hid and demonised others’ culture and history. Apples and Crocodiles.

At first, I was gonna be silent because this is the internet and people say random stuff all the time, but I’m speaking up so you don’t go around continuing your misinformation. As in, some opinions are okay to think but not share.
I’ll comment wearing two hats: studied cultural anthropology, lives and works in East Asia.
The other commenter is correct.
1. Long ago Celtic, Indo and Germanic tribes had locs. However, dreadlocks only refer to the Afro-styled ones. For example, Celtic-type are referred to as faerie locs. What does “dread “ mean?👀
2. People should be allowed to style their hair as they please. However, the question of appropriation comes in when that specific style is distinct to a certain culture or group. I believe people in colonial-ruled countries feel strongly about this because these are aspects of their culture/ identity and were once demonised or forbidden to them. Yet, people of other cultures use them for simply aesthetic purposes and are lauded.
3. -You don’t see it in a positive light in East Asian media (usually, when someone is unclean or delinquent)
- It’s not good for all hair types (in terms of hair health)
- Appeciation is learning a language, dance, consuming media. Appropriation is wearing that culture like a costume.
