Just binged all the episodes and idk so far I like it. I know there's a few questionable scenes (it is a mame work after all) but that aside it's a decent series. I feel like after KinnPorsche and ITSAY etc. loads of ppl now want every bl to be really highbrow and although I get that, I like that there's the option to watch something cute and silly once in a while. Even though the story is not award level, sometimes it's fine to watch things just for the chemistry and the iconic thai bl sound effects xd
The whiplash I got from thinking Sun Woo and Tae Oh were really cute at the start of the first episode, to wondering how on earth they could be together 10 minutes later
This is really, really good! Wonderful chemistry between the leads. They’re both adults with their own back…
This is exactly what I was thinking. As much as I vouch for bl's with complicated plots and angsty tropes, I like how this is just a simple and mature story. It's the natural evolution of romance without all the extra/unlikely distractions.
Can someone tell me if this is worth the watch?? I took a break after ep 2, but seeing the reviews now I don't know if I should just cut my losses. I'm very much mostly interested for MarkKit and Bas, but apparently everyone hates Kit now so.. is it hate watchable at least?
Okay firstly, the scene where all the teammates smile after secretly hearing Fah and Thorn's moment melts my heart!! The fact that they don't even know how strong their silent support system is,, everyone should have that.
But anyways, thoughts after binging the last couple eps:
IMO this show has really turned into something special; in a way I didn't expect initially. Despite the criticism, I liked it from the beginning: mainly due to the actors and cinematography that imo is in the league of ITSAY and Not Me. Plus the storyline was fun and varied. The way it's since progressed though has really made it stand out for me. All the couples are clearly distinct and bring different things to the show and they're managed so well.
Dome and Vee have been my favourite couple since the start, but the way the show has written them into characters that bring me such confliction and anxiety when they're on screen together is really interesting to see. I'm pretty sure they're not the first brother-sister love triangle I've seen in a bl, but they're the most realistically and morally portrayed. Plus it's great that the sister is not just a side pawn character. I don't think the story's going to be so easy that she just concedes to them being together without any emotional damage, which makes the ending seem really ambiguous and more interesting than every other time I've seen this dynamic.
Also Thorn and Fah have become increasingly adorable, and since they've stopped arguing, their chemistry has increased tenfold. I'm not always sold on Tae's acting but he nails his romantic scenes with Suar. And Aii stresses me out, but it's really interesting to see how Saen interacts with him and navigates their relationship. Him being anxiety-ridden and not the best at relationships, it was nice to see Saen take the initiative before, but now it's his turn.
I hope the show keeps getting better in it's last half and more people give it recognition... also I couldn't care less about the basketball competition anymore,, but I really hope they beat coach Tuans a$$ back to the demon realm where he belongs.
This comment is not only addressed to you, but to everyone who wants to read.Yes. To give you a new perspective…
Yes they're definitely meant for one another. And that's interesting, they probably made Kiyoi more impulsive for the drama but I would have liked to see this different side of him too. I hope they do make another season because it would be really interesting to explore their dynamic more and see how they evolve.
I think I've come out of this series with an "okay cool" feeling. At the start, I wasn't really a fan,, bullying or not debate aside, I didn't like how Kiyoi treated Hira and the degree to which Hira was obsessed with him. But maybe in the last two or three episodes I started to understand that if they're going to be complicated it makes sense for them to be complicated together. In many ways they're one and the same; they have similar worries, experiences with people, troubles communicating etc,, and so there's more of an understanding and less hurt I think than if they were with other people. Especially after Kiyoi's pov, I really started to see that he's not terrible, just a bit troubled and silly. If it wasn't for the beautiful cinematography and acting I probably wouldn't have finished this anytime soon but I'm glad I did because I did like it!
This series is so underrated!! I know it's just started but it feels like one of those shows that should be immensely popular from the get-go because the overall quality is insane. The cinematography, the soundtrack, the social awareness and the acting, it's all amazing! Honestly the bl side is just a much-appreciated plus as even without it, this would still be interesting. Waiting 2 weeks is going to be so hard.
Side note: when Yok looked at Dan I swear time slowed down for all 3 of us,, like I forgot how to breathe lmao. I'm so happy Gawin's out of the gmmtv basement, he's so talented,, I can't wait to see more of them.
OK, a lot of the hate-flirting is cute as hell, but my god, 20 times per ep is a bit much. The plastic gun was…
Now these are real unpopular opinions lmao. Personally I like that the hate flirting never ceases, it fits in with their characters and where they are in their relationship. Also I love Ohm, he's a greatly talented actor, but this is my first time seeing Nanon and he's blown me away. His micro-expressions and the way every emotion is always laid out in his eyes amazes me; I can't help but be drawn to him in every scene. As for their chemistry, imo its one of the best this year. Ofc Ohm is a seasoned bl actor so he's more confident and charismatic (not to mention he naturally has chemistry with every particle around him), but Nanon holds his own too and together they have a great dynamic that you can tell comes from years of close friendship.. If they weren't equally amazing BB wouldn't be what it is because as we know the plot isn't groundbreaking, but they + the directing make it feel special.
I respect all the Wai apologists and I know I'll have to make peace with his rushed redemption arc, but I can't help but dislike him. I always knew there was something up with him so I've been an anti gathering all the red flags from the start,, waiting for the big reveal, and now I'm just meant to discard them lmao?! I just don't like how he didn't even feel the need to apologise.. it shouldn't take a bullet for you to gain empathy..
Tong was asked by Sab, I think, to tutor Pok because his grades were low. We found out later on that Pok managed…
Ahh thank you so much! I remembered it was something to do with cheating but I didn't know what. Although Sandee has the right to be mad, it's really messed up what he did. I hope Phai ends up with anyone but him because he's too sweet for all this evil!!
Finally felt mentally prepared to finish this and it did not disappoint. Easily one of if not my favourite bl of this year, up there with Light On Me and Bad Buddy. Can't wait for the movie!
