I feel like it would be a big waste to cancel this series considering how well the teaser did. There's already a lot of anticipation and it was certain to be popular so hopefully everything is resolved, whether it means having a new production company or not. I'm willing to wait :)
I don't understand how Korea can give us the likes of "To My Star" (which was excellent) and then give us ...…
I mean TMS was catered towards more mature audiences who wanted to see something out of the school setting while this is for people who enjoy fluffy school dramas.. they're not really made for comparison because they're aiming to achieve different things. Also the Korean bl scene is very new so it makes sense that they'd make the type of content that Thailand has already done.. and there's only been two episodes, the drama has barely started. Ofc you're entitled to not like it though but there's still lots to happen.
How'd I miss shirtless Win? Why do you like the show still? I'm curious. I've tried so hard to like it but now…
I was trying to think of what exactly it is that makes me like the show but I’ve realised in each of its parts (romance, friendship, setting, life lessons, representation) there aren’t really strong positives that draw me to it, so I think I mostly like it because of the “vibes” it gives to be honest. I can look past its flaws because it gives me a nostalgia that the other current bl’s I’m watching don’t. Like in comparison with FUTS, be loved in house and lovely writer etc which are really aesthetic (I don’t know how else to phrase it) bl’s, with really bright filtering, and “perfect” characters, this series looks normal with actors that don’t all look like gmmtv models (not to say they’re not all good looking) and characters that are just weird; it’s a nice change of pace and it reminds me of older bls. Also some scenes are cute and sometimes the characters are funny. It just has enough positive points to interest me I guess.
And yes it wasn’t really an insult it was a valid question. And I agree if Jin was actually two timing it would be interesting because I still don’t get his player vibe that he supposedly has
I'm sorry but when Bbomb insulted Jin and he turned around and then it just cut to him full on sobbing I literally burst out laughing lmao, I really didn't expect him to be crying like that.
Honestly though like others have said, I feel like every episode is mainly just five events: - Bbomb gets jealous - Jin gets drunk - they all eat and have awkward conversations - Jin and Bbomb argue - then they hug and sleep in Jin's room. And I still like the show but there's like 6? couples and yet so much time is wasted on the same unnecessary dragged out scenes when it could be spent developing the already confusing characters (cough Keam cough).. Anyways shirtless Win was definitely the highlight of the episode lol, he reminds me of First and Ja mixed together for some reason
I have been watching kdrama and knews for sometime and for me it looks like korean takes bullying very very seriously....…
Yes I also heard about that, and I agree, I do think they take bullying scandals more seriously now and are quick to punish crimes, unlike my country also. But I was doing some research and it seems its mostly in the case of influential people/ celebs that there are repercussions. It's only recently that bullying by 'ordinary' people has been taken seriously, but apparently its still very common and bad (idk how much of this is true its just what I read).
Yeah I'm still confused why the seniors were there but I think the scene just to point out how much Jin likes…
Maybe many isn't exactly the right word, I just meant more than once or twice. Also I assumed, since there's been a bit of a time skip and they were really casual about Jin sleeping in Bbomb's arms last ep, that maybe there were a couple times we didn't see? Also for the sex thing I kinda understand bc Bbomb wouldn't want to scare off Jin, and Jin is an oblivious and indecisive turtle when it comes to his feelings
I love this show - I love the leads and like how they actually communicated honestly with each other (at least…
Yeah I'm still confused why the seniors were there but I think the scene just to point out how much Jin likes Bbomb, because they talked about how he never lets other people into his bed, but obviously Bbomb has slept with him many times now
i use a VPN in Thailand and I'm able to access it.
Don't know if you still need it but I use FlyVPN with the country Thailand and it works. You get 3 free trials a day and sometimes it doesn't respond on your first time connecting but if you try again it works, and once you're connected even if the trial minutes run out you can still watch the ep.
I never know how reflective these dramas are of actual Korean life. I mean obviously it's exaggerated, but I'm new to Kdramas and I've seen the horrible bullying trope quite a couple times now, so I'm starting to wonder if it's actually that common? Anyways I'm on ep 3 and so far it's interesting albeit absolutely infuriating lol. I'm sad that the only character I like is the one that apparently dies though
