I like both but this is better for me. Penthouse has a lot of overacting and far-fetched storylines which are fun. But this one has more depth and impressive acting; I couldn't even hate the villain, especially in those scenes with her child, ahhh so freaking great acting!

I do hope it comes out good. So far, Korea's outerspace scifi flicks have been a bit disappointing.

If you see a lot of Kdramas, this trope has been there for some time -- men forcing women to their liking. I thought it was cute before, but I realized it has really become a culture thing in Korea and it kinda sucks. Not really cute anymore in my eyes.

Same thoughts. I was intent on watching it due to rave reviews, but I guess some of us can't just really relate as much as we wanted to. Wish it had a better, more grounded and cleaner plot. It's like the writers had only the ending in mind and all events leading up to that were picked from overly used tropes such as kidnapping, violence, loud cries and screams, gangs, rich chaebol, oh and the handsome bodyguard who's just a decoration, among others.
For a drama that's supposed to be about self-discovery and healing, it's just so convoluted with a lot of loopholes.

Nahh. Viewers like it. Apparently, that's so beautiful to them. Writers know it that's why they keep using those cause that's more impactful to most -- the thrill of hurting someone, the toxic relationship, the crying, you name it...
And die-hard fans will attack you if you don't agree with them. Just like in the dramas they claim to have learnt some 'beautiful life lessons' from, they feel it's alright to be aggressive as well to make their point.

Yeah, die-hard fans calling people who have different views as haters and accusing them of a lot of things they do themselves, yet they claim to have learnt 'beautiful life lessons' from dramas like this that make violence so cute. Outrageous!

I don't think Koreans are really aware of MDL. I am not sure though. They have their own platforms and forums I think.

Alright, upon reviewing, I guess you're right I got overly repetitive with my comments, trying to defend my views.
You have to know that I am not imposing anything nor am I trying to create some hate vibe here. You must be paranoid or something. Clearly, I can never change the views of the people who already love this show especially die-hard watchers like you I guess. I got no reason to persuade anyone here.
You gotta stop the hate towards people with different views and give them space here, and not judge us as spiteful beings. Well, maybe there are some with ill intentions, I don't know. Maybe you gotta fight them. But I am certainly not one of them nor I have any reason to do so.

I didn't know MDL had that rule that if you didn't like a drama, you could only comment once. I only wrote the second comment just to add something and it was pretty short. Then the attacks came. I got to write more then to defend my views.

I have no favorite actor and it's pretty much irrelevant to say it's popular that's why I am trying to take it down. Hell, no. Our comments here don't matter at all really.

Again, I loved the acting. I now like the main actor. If it wasn't for his acting, I would have dropped this much early.
Why can't you guys accept that other people may have different views? I get it okay, you love this show so much and probably you love the actors too that's why you like it, I don't know. Whatever it is, I don't really care.

I get that many people love this show and they say it teaches some wise life lessons. I decided to watch this to have a good cry, but halfway through I felt bored and felt the plot was ridiculous. I am not nitpicking or anything like many fans seem to think and even go on accusing me of many things. But this show is a bit boring and uncomfortable to watch.
People claim to love this show for its life lessons, but please drop the pretense. If it were an ugly ML, many of you would think he's a disgusting creature, his actions abominable and this show a travesty!
