Im enjoying the show but for some reason I can't rlly connect to the parents' story line. Like idc if they end…
Same here. The storyline of the parents is utterly ridiculous. I just hope Mirae gets to live a much better life and can somehow take back the life stolen from her by the actions of her irresponsible father. I hope she and Taepyong get more screentime in the remaining episodes; otherwise, I will be skipping a lot.
Exactly. He didn't leave his family but his family left him.And he didn't hold grudges for that but he came back…
Precisely my point. That's why I suggested not to delve into our own interpretations but stick to what really happened in the story -- that he left and not the other way around. Let me add further that he's an irresponsible father - that's a fact as well in the drama.

Now you're contradicting yourself. You agreed but not admit to twisting the story/fact. Anyway, let's just be more careful next time in telling the story versus our own interpretation. Otherwise, it can mislead viewers.

Let's be very exact then and not delve into our own interpretation. The father failed in his ventures repeatedly (actually not crucifying him for that), putting financial strain in the family. Despite opposition from his wife, he still went on his financial adventures, culminating in that ugly scene in the restaurant the mother and daughter had worked so hard for, and in him being kicked out of the house. It may just be his passion to be rich or maybe he wanted a better life for the family, but the financial stability of the household is one thing a responsible father would prioritize first before he pushed for his dreams and put risks on the family's finances that was already stretched too thin.
The family then kicked him out, telling him not to be part of their lives whatsoever. Well, he left, didn't he? Whatever in his mind - whether he was crushed or regretting things - is irrelevant. He left. It's the action, not the intention, that really characterizes reality. Whether he wanted to go back but didn't have the face or the courage, and vowed to be rich first before doing so -- he was still full of himself and not thought of the family he would be leaving behind. He left them, without even caring to send a single penny to support the kids' schooling. Would a good father really not bother to send support to his children in any way he can for that long freaking years?
The moment he came back, his first agenda was to get back to his ex-wife. What father would not care much about his kids he has not seen for over a decade and instead get so clingy to his wife? That is where it got worse. I just can't understand that. He even went on competing with the daughter for the mother/wife. Him acting cute and charming about all this like all is forgiven because he has money now is just not sitting well with me and even maybe with other viewers as can be seen in the decline of viewership ratings (which is a fact and not simply my view).
Well, we have different opinions. Good for you that you find that storyline enjoyable. But twisting the story is not a good way to make your point.
Exactly. He didn't leave his family but his family left him.And he didn't hold grudges for that but he came back…
What!? He left them. His actions made his family suffer to the point where they had to ask him to leave and he left. It wasn't a little misunderstanding, it was a repeated habit of failing his family. It was a very clear point, why twist that and blame the family?
Seems like you've just created an account today just to bash the actress. I wonder if you're the same person who…
My apologies. I like her too. I have just been wary of people who have been attacking her unreasonably in this comment section, giving this unpleasant and triggering vibe. Thanks for clarifying. Hoping for a more pleasant atmosphere here.
The only reason I watch this drama is: I get to see Son Na Eun's constipated face in all episodes. so cute.
Seems like you've just created an account today just to bash the actress. I wonder if you're the same person who created multiple accounts just to spread hate in this section, attacking viewers who praise other actors rather than your favorite.
i feel like every episode we just see more of him being a bad father and husband. like how am i supposed to root…
It's the most stupid character, tbh. After so many freaking years and ups and downs, he's still the immature father who can't put his kids before himself, always doing whatever makes him happy. A redemption arc might be coming, but it would not be so believable and would even be ridiculous so as to make sense of everything he has been doing for so long now.
Glad you noticed as well. Her comments are really triggering and appalling.I bet she created multiple accounts…
Totally with you. These fans don't realize that they are doing more harm than help on the reputation of their favorite actor. I, for one, actually is now annoyed by both the character and the actor himself; can't help it. I do wish MDL becomes more strict though and ban all the accounts of hateful commenters, which would now include me, I guess. Haha. Anyway, I am just trying to somehow give her a taste of her own medicine. I would be glad to be banned as long as she and all her accounts got banned as well, because it's just not fair for people to comment whatever they want just because there is a space to blurt out whatever negativity they have in life.
This show started off so good but I am at ep 7 now and it gets more annoying with each episode. The only character…
Agreed. Ji Jin Hee only banks on his soft looks, but has no powerful acting skills. His acting in this drama is the lamest I have seen from him. Even after more than two decades of acting, he has not managed to elevate his skills, and worse, has gained a number of toxic fans.
Glad you noticed as well. Her comments are really triggering and appalling.I bet she created multiple accounts…
I don't want to assume much but based on her comments, I can see she wants everybody to praise only her favorite. In fact, even as the show just started, she went full-attack mode towards commenters who were excited to watch the show for their idols, and she even went on claiming this was her favorite actor's show all to himself and nobody could attribute this show to any other leads, creating this weird vibe in this section and even prompting a number of fans to leave.
Before drama release Netflix posted Minho and Naeun poster in twitter.. senior actor's fans left salty comments…
Is that so? Ugh... I actually used to like the senior male lead as well, but now it really creeps me out to know that he has some of the worst fans, making it hard for me to root for him anymore.
All four of them are the leads of this show, not only Ji Jin Hee and Kim Ji Soo. Of course, there will be episodes…
Then you should probably block Yeon Sung as well and her other accounts here. She started this weird appalling vibe in this comment section, and still continues to spread it.
I didn't realize it before but what's with these copy paste and salty comments towards other actors? is it an…

The Na-Eun and Min-Ho story is one of the better elements of the show that many viewers appreciate -- a testament to their acting skills and chemistry. They may not be as good as the older actors who have been acting for decades, but sure they help the show a lot even in terms of viewer ratings, perhaps even more so than the veterans.

Sure. By the way it wasn't me who started attacking fans of other actors in their own threads, in case you didn't know (or probably you knew but did not just bother). It was the above user. She was very disrespectful in previous threads. Just a taste of her own medicine is being served here.
