well if you want someone to explain i may not be the right person since i struggle with putting my thoughts in words but here's what i thnk this drama did have that classic cold ml and bubbly fl vibe even i was annoyed at first few eps, the fl just seemed too much, but as the story progressed i liked it more and more. One of the major reasons for this was the friendship between the leads, it was just so adorable and flowed naturally, although i haven't experienced it the progress felt really natural. Another good thing is that almost all the characters had a personality (not to point fingers but many of the dramas i have seen before, the characters felt like they were solely there to act and entertain us). also the leads had such a GREAT chemistry i just love them, even the second couple. They didnt need big complex plots or triangles or any other misunderstanding to stop it from being boring, the plot just flowed naturally. Also can i just say how lovely the relationships between the characters was, even the small actions seemed cute like when gu ran always rushes to do anything for jiang jia when he realized he liked her, or my personal fav scene when the gang was searching through the trash looking for the money. The fl was my fav among these her dialogues were so refined and the small lessons/lines near the end were refined. there's also guan fang and his grandma, grandma was probably my fav character at one point, she just like any other grandma and thats the beauty of it. Well there were many bad parts about it too, like his mom obviously and i also hated how they didnt show how he resolved it out with her, there was also really less screen time for second couple, actually we needed more of all the characters in the after school segment.
well i tried to word what i felt, honestly you dont need to like it, as i said above liking this drama is really subjective and can depend but i atleast think that this doesnt deserve any less than a eight (there was a outrage sometime ago where people randomly started rating this 1, and thats unfair with the quality this delivers)
