In the novel, there is only Wei Rao, the wealthy foxy beauty FL who marries the comatose ML (after he got injured) to ward off misfortune. The ML wakes up soon after they got married but ML was unhappy coz he has prejudice against the FL while the FL only wants protection from ML's family. Since they kinda hate each other, they agreed to a 5 year contract marriage but only few knows so they act all lovey dovey in front of others. Of course they fell in love in the end. In the drama, the FL seems to be Jun Dai/A Chou who will impersonate/take Wei Rao's place to marry the ML. I guess she has to evade ML and his family's suspicion of her identity and fight Wei Rao who is unhappy that she took her place.

That's...very slow burn. I hope the drama won't drag them really getting together at like ep 16 out of 24. Or they should at least give us sweet moments even in their fake marriage era. Or tone down their coldness to each other. I kinda understand the changes/addition to the story that the drama will make coz although the novel is a good read, it's more slice of life/about family life. Thank you so much for answering! I will continue reading while waiting for the drama.

Has anyone completed reading the novel? When exactly does the romance start? Coz I'm on chapter 70/160+ and the FL is still cold towards the ML. They totally don't get along that I can't imagine these 2 prideful and cold fake couple falling in love. The drama will seem different though. Also seeing TXW and YA standing together is already heart fluttering. Maybe I should picture them while reading the novel coz I'm totally frustrated over their characters' relationship in the novel.

I already feel blessed with the reunion of Rattan and When Destiny Brings the Demon couples. Add this one too and I will already feel lucky. I guess as long as the actors and their fans get along well, it's possible.

So in iQiyi and Youku platforms, Tian Xi Wei's and Zhang Ling He's past dramas are trending. I guess everybody is watching their other dramas while waiting for new eps of Pursuit of Jade to drop. Honestly, my favorite dramas for Tian Xi Wei are Romance on the Farm and First Love and for Zhang Ling He are Love Crossed, SOKP, The Princess Royal and My Journey to You. I hope they can collab again next time (pls managers). But it seems that iQiyi actors are rotating pairings. So far, TXW haven't paired yet with Chen Ze Yuan, Cheng Lei, Allen Ren (who else are the actors who has lots of dramas with iQiyi?) and Zhang Ling He have not acted yet with Li Qin, Li Yi Tong, Ju Jing Yi.

That's a great feat for a CDrama. I guess being on Netflix also helps with its popularity globally.

Imagine that a real "Yan Zheng" exists. I wonder who will be the true husband, the one who went through the wedding with her or the one whose name is in the marriage contract? That would be a twist. Unfortunately there are only 40 eps. So imo they need to divorce first and then remarry. 🤣

Why is Xie Zheng so triggered with the "D" word when he used a fake identity to get married? Doesn't that mean that their marriage was invalid from the start? A scammer indeed lol.

All the actors here, even the supporting ones are good looking. 😳 What an interesting way to show the leads' past. This drama is very creative. I am very entertained. By the way, it's funny that the male lead's household has 3 people who are all serious, quiet and never smile. Can't imagine them throwing parties and hanging out with the neighbors.

This is like a live action adaptation of a dark romance anime. Like Diabolik Lovers. Oh yeah that had an old CDrama adaptation called My Vampire Boyfriend. The visuals here are great and it's Guideverse? I've liked the ML since I saw him in Liars in Love. That one was not so good so I'm happy to watch him in a good drama.

Will Sena give up her fangirling hobbies? Worst, will she start to be ashamed of it? It was her only comfort in life. Other FLs have female besties, while she only has SunJae and her lawyer boss.

I will check out The Heavenly Idol. Similar premise and not angsty. Other drama I'm watching is CDrama Glory coz I love mysteries and reverse harem.

I understand that Ra-ik is upset coz she lied and he's traumatized by sasaeng fans but I can't help but feel bad for Sena coz she's always been sincere in helping him despite him being rude to her and immature at the beginning. He saved her before so she wants to help him too. He doesn't know that she is his first fan. I hope the angst doesn't get dragged out. The last scene truly bummed me. Next ep is next week. I need to watch a fun show to forget haha.

Could be the I/Myself inside my idol persona.

As Lu told He before, he doesn't know his heart. He feels love/hate/obsession towards Shan Bao. As to who killed Yang Dingchen, I guess that night, there were many who planned to kill him only to find him already dead.

He's third in the credits, after Neo and Gulinazha, so I guess he's a pretty important character.

This drama is so fun! I love the unhinged FL and the comedy is very JDrama-ish. I need more weirdo FL/ML. Maybe I just want something different from KDramas coz lately I've been hooked with CDramas and vertical dramas. It feels good to be watching a KDrama again with amazing leads.

Today, I'm so happy coz I managed to invite 2 friends to watch and they liked it!
