Thank you so much for bringing this up, I also just finished it and I had the same question! This series started…
You know what, i actually agree woth you on both ypur points! The dad's deal is a mystery to me. He seemed to dislike the FL ever since she'd come into his life, but turns out that was just him being loving in his own whay like what??? The FL did treat her employees and family terribly. So i do agree it was a bit surprising her dad didn't disown her loo. Like I memtiomed earlier, genuinely do not understand the reasoning behing mosy of Yi An's decisions throughout

Agreed! The first 9 eps were excellent! About the agent the FL lead's dad was apparently gonna place, i just assumed that when he found out Hui Ju's assistant, Do Hye, was gonna be with her at the palace, he let that topic go.
I totally agree with your point on why her dad insisted on being cautions, cuz I assumed that had to do with the guy who rigged her car. But as we know, that plot point never went anywhere.
The last point you made is also valid. I really wish we'd gotten at least a few moments of the public, instead if just being told what they think or want or believe. I really liked them showing the protests cuz scenes like that make the world feel real, lived in.
Ps: I added a few more points to my og post after seeing your comment 😄
Just finished the show, and I absolutely adored it. There's one thing though that's bugging me. I don't remember if it ever got solved or not. That incident with Hui Ju's car, who was behind it? Was it the crazy ans of Yi An? or someone else entirely? Surely it wasn't an attack on Yi An itself right, since it wasn't even his car to begin with? And we learnt that the man who did work on Hui Ju's car DIED right??? So who on earth was behind that, and what was their motive? Was this adressed? Do I have the attention span of a lightningbolt...???
Edit: another thing popped into my mind now: If the prince is so beloved, how come we only just saw a small group of students throwing eggs at her? Shouldn't the hate have been shown a bit more? Maybe more online discourse, hate, attacks etc? Cuz I'm very certain there would be crazy fans of him, just like how kpop idols have scary crazy fans!
And, i do not remember if it was ever hinted at that Yi An didn't want to rule. I feel that plot point suddenly came out of nowhere around ep 10 or something, as prior to that, he clearly was interested in becoming the next king. Maybe if they had scattered hints and clues on his opposition to the monarchy, I would have bought it a bit more...
Gosh I'm gonna miss this series! I had so much fun watching this piece of entertainment despite not expecting to, cuz romcom is usually not my cup of tea! Truly entertained by K'Fu's shenanigans and undying and crazy-deep love for his Moomoo XD This show was my break from a terrible week, and terrible shift for the past 2 months, bringing much needed balance, joy, happiness, and energy! Welp, at least the next 3 week I have Peach and Me to bring me a smile ah, then I truly wouldn't know what to do!!! If they are gonna adapted the other 2 books, I'd be absolutely thrilled, on the 9th cloud excited ! I might combust the day they announce the next season lmao!
Zhen Xin knows Zhang Zhun has feelings for him so I say it’s more teasing and flirting with him atp.
Yeah I can see that. But you should remember that Zhen Xin is a veteran, while this is Zhang Zhun's first main role, so even if he feels like he has feelings for him, it still comes off as power imbalance from my perspective. Also, I felt like Zhen Xin is the one who first developed feelings for Zhang Zhun, not the other way round, or did I miss something...
At the point, im more invested in the film the characters are making than the actual show...plus, Dr Fang Chi is so much better than Zhen Xin that you cant not want him to be more like the doc hes portraying lol! On Zhen and Zhang side of the story, it feels very much toxic, red flag, while the doc and the patiemt have such a calm and emotional development to the point everytime I see Zhen Xin bullying Zhang Zhun, i just want to go back to the show they're filming lol
If you don't like it., move on. If it's not your piece of cake, then it's not. No one's forcing you to watch
It just gives negative traction to the show, and might even keep people who might enjoy this from not checking it out. God knows how many I've skipped as they aired, and watched later only to regret not watching while they aired due to negative comments like this. Besides, that was not a review. If the og commentor would have given more reasons as to why they felt thrown off by the show, i might have agreed with them, who knows. I have to agree with you though that comments section is for opinions👍🏻 Something about the show is throwing me off as well i gotta admit though despite enjoying it thoroughly. It might be the pacing for one, or maybe the screentime of each characters. I'm not sure yet

I've been emotionally burnt out since a year now, so havent gotten around reading The Grimm Lover yet💔

For a split second i thought of that in ep 6, then dismissed it🥲
