Title Double Helix Spoiler
That's exactly what happened to me when I was reading sissy. I liked the homophobic dad and wanted him to win.
And btw Jeff satur can play Song Juhan, his body, hairstyle pretty much similar to Song Juhan but whenever I think of Song Juhan, this chinese influencer model comes to my mind, I follow him on insta and over the time he has become Song Juhan in my mind lol.

So all Sissy, Beloved Enemy, My stand in are getting CBL adaption? wow, this is best news of day for me lol.

I know korea will not be able to justice to Payback but I guess CBL can do justice to original source more than thai version.

Sissy is getting adaption? which country? Thailand or china? I kinda prefer china over thailand, I don't like thai BL adapting chinese novels or korean manhwas. Many people loved that Body double thai adaption but I didn't, and same is happening with Payback current ongoing adaption. because no matter what I can't get the same emotions as original source from thai adaptions. Whereas cbl actually does justice to certain extent to original source like Addicted (both versions), even this one as well, they are doing amazing job here then sammy's children's day, revenged love, To My Shore etc.

Same, both are my most favs. Beloved enemy was my entry into 188 novels. I have watched Beloved Enemy's censored bromance series first which made me want to read original novel and then I started reading other novels as well. I have read Beloved enemy, Years of Intoxication, that body double novel and Sissy. Except Sissy I loved all, but no.1 is Beloved Enemy, then Years of Intoxication and at third that body double novel.

I have read novels, not manhua, i tried manhua bcz after I read novels, coincidentally Beloved Enemy, Years of Intoxication & Sissy got serialised, I read them upto 10-15 chapters but I couldn't go further because detailing done in novel is on another level, i legit used to feel like I'm in that universe and I'm seeing main lead's love story unfolding infront of my eyes in real time. But while reading manhua I didn't got that feeling so I dropped.

I loved Beloved Enemy and Years of Intoxication so much that I had read them twice lol.

I have read all these 4 novels around 4-5 years back but i still remember some of protagonists names very clearly like Gu Qin Pei, Song Juhan, Yuan Yang, He Gu etc.

lesser, because I don't think anyone has suffered as much as Chengxiu in 188 series of novels. Yes, stylist guy suffered the least in 188 novel series tho I haven't read his novel.

I really wanted Chengxiu to end up with SML but that SML guy also suffered fate of Chengxiu in another 188 novel of same author lol.

You knw what was more hilarious, shao qun actually used chengxiu's sperms and his homophobic father still must be thinking that baby is his actual heir πŸ˜‚. I bet he will get shock of life when that baby grows up 😭.

It's disturbing that People are making excuses for Lu Feng while expressing how much they hate the brother, even…
Well tbh Yichen's brother did amazing work unintentionally by keeping away that green flag away from YC for 4years and then his homophobic mother also did god's work by keeping away YC from green forest for another 5yrs. I bet those 9years were unintentionally best years of YC's life lol. Evn tho YC : The victim of stockholm syndrome may not agree lol.

I have read Sissy as well and there as well ML was so toxic man, it was unbearable. At one point of time, i thought it's better if MC commit suicide, because it was just too much.

is it really rape? YC said, "after his deep kisses, i forget everything." YC seems like meh, go on with…
Can't believe someone is defending that ra*e 😭. YC is clearly victim of stalkholmes syndrome nd so are Lufeng's fans.

Atp i even find Yichen's homophobic parents more likable than Lufeng and it's hilarious considering its BL drama and homophobic characters should be least likable characters in genre like BL. Im kinda glad they and his lil brother kept Yichen away from that piece of trash for so long 😜. I still cant believe I'm saying this that too in BL drama's comment section πŸ˜‚.

Lu Feng is so shameless and delusional that I just started laughing at his scene in hospital where he was trying to play victim card 🀣. Atp i find this drama unintentional comedy to me bcz i cant take anything seriously whatever they are trying to achieve here😭.

And I must say evn Lu Feng's defenders (fans) are same delusional as him, it's funny how they defend him nd try to portray that rap*st as victim πŸ˜‚.

I just want to ask to everyone who is supporting Lu Feng, what if Lu Feng was ugly and it was portrayed by ugly creepy actor with big tummy and creepy smile? Will you still defend him?

Title Double Helix
Im kinda surprised that some people still defend Lu Feng and think he was the victim or that he deserves better. Like, are we even watching the same show??

Yeah, he deserves better, better cell in jail lol. Bro, his actions go way beyond toxicity and straight into criminal territory. Everyone in this show is toxic to some extent but Lu Feng is on a completely different level. If we are making a toxicity ranking, Lu Feng sits comfortably on the throne because of his crimes. Then comes his own father, then Yichen's parents, then Yichen's little brother, then Yichen himself. And the only person who isnt toxic at all is Qin Lang. So if people are going to sympathize with someone, they should do it in that order instead of defending the biggest criminal in the story.

For minute, imagine this was a straight romance. Reimagine the entire story with Lu Feng as an obsessive, possessive stalker type ML and Yichen as the FL. From the very beginning, Lu Feng constantly forced Yichen into things. Even their first sex was painful and traumatic for Yichen. Then when they reunited, Lu Feng literally r*ped him in the office. Then he paralyzed Yichen's little brother, contributed to his mother's death and after the second time skip, when Yichen came to apologize and make peace, Lu Feng kidnapped him instead. He psychologically tortured him by flaunting his relationships with other partners and continued to r*pe him repeatedly to the point where Yichen was driven toward suicidal thoughts.

Now imagine all of that happening to a beautiful FL. Would people still be calling it romantic?? Or would everyone immediately recognize how horrifying and abusive it actually is??

And honestly, you dont even need the gender swap argument. Just imagine Lu Feng wasnt played by handsome Ayden. Imagine he was portrayed by some ugly guy with a big belly and an creepy smile. Would people still be defending him?? Would they still be romanticizing his actions?? Answer is No.

Yichen was obviously toxic in his own ways too. He never truly made Lu Feng his top priority and rarely fought for their relationship when it mattered. But Lu Feng's so called love was manipulative, controlling and toxic from day one. He always wanted everything to happen on his terms. Compared to that, Yichen's flaws feel relatively minor.

Dont defend a terrible character just because he is played by handsome actor. Judge him based on his actions, not his face.

Also, i will say i enjoy the show but i never feel like defending a character like Lu Feng and that too considering Ayden is my most favorite actor from the whole cast because i separate actors from the characters they play. Liking an actor doesnt mean i have to defend every horrible thing their character does.

And lastly, i will say this: Yichen deserves better (partner) and Lu Feng deserves even better, a straight entry to jail.

i was personally enjoying the show until ep 7.... the knife attack was so not needed to make her realise her feeling…
She had realised her feelings way before knife attack, she was just not admitting it as she didn't wanted to get into relationship with him, so it's not like knife attack was her trigger point to realise her feelings. Secondly i don't see anything wrong with Gi Jun changes from confident, smart to that of insecurity or acting foolishly at times, because it feels like he is genuinely in love with her. I don't want ML to be perfect all the times, sometimes it's better to act foolishly when it comes to love.
